Day 66: One Final Hope...

Say good night, my child, as you turn out the light.
A troubled heart, so lost and broken, the darkness calls your name.
For your forgiveness, I beg from you, for I know I've done you wrong.
I once promised you an eternity, a life of happiness and truth.
For it is written, our destiny, deep within the sparkling stars.

This will be the last you hear from me, my final words, they grace your ears.
So it will be, for one last time; the two of us together, one happy family.
A cross on the calendar, a memory created, a burden upon your young shoulders.
Bleak, tormented, will you remember me?
A wilted flower upon the table, a solemn tear from eyes of wonder.

Rest in peace to the times we had, forever encased within a broken mirror.

Darkness, it now descends upon me, an infinite blanket of nothingness.
Tortured, blood-stained; my shattered hope reflected, in a bitter, crumbling heart.
And so I pray, may the light one day come upon us.

In the end, we shall depart, two hearts once connected; now doomed to wander.
Gone with the wind, my shouting soul now a whisper; what is this immeasurable feeling?
