AJ put on her makeup. She wanted to be "beautiful" as people called it. She did the best she could. It was beautiful in other's eyes. Now they'll respect me. I won't hurt anymore.

She went downstairs. "Why are you wearing so much makeup?" Her sister Zephyr asked.

"I wanted to. Do I have to have a reason?" AJ smiled at her sister.

"Whatever. We have to go." They walked out the door on the way to school.

So she tries to cover up her pain and cut her woes away

Today is going to be a good day. I'm going to be noticed and told I'm pretty instead of what has been happening. But no matter what happens, cover girls don't cry. So neither will I.

AJ walked through the hallways to her club for that day. It was Thursday, so she had Yearbook.

She walked into a nearly empty classroom and greeted the teacher. Then she got to work making pages for the book.

Then, she went outside and hung out with her friends. Some of them complimented her makeup, others ignored it, others didn't even notice it was there.

She has dreams to be an envy, so she's starving
You know, covergirls eat nothing
She says beauty is pain and there's beauty in everything
What's a little bit of hunger?
I could go a little while longer, she fades away

AJ went into her second favorite teacher's room before lunch. She grabbed passes for her and her friends.

"Come on guys. I have the passes. Come on." AJ went outside to give her friends their passes to inside.

"Thanks Jay." Abbie, Leo, Sonya, CJ, Ana, AJ. They would go into their teacher's classroom to hang out because they hated the other people outside.

AJ went inside first. The others slowly followed.

In a group of friends, one really fades away if they aren't as interesting as everyone else. That was AJ. Everyone else stood out. She didn't. She was plain and boring.
