EVEN THOUGH IT IS ONLY six in the morning my family acts as though it is half past noon.
Hannah and Kate (I like to call them Little Devils) are blasting music in their room opposite and with my parents awake there is no going back to sleep so I do what I think I am better at: read. I am the kind of reader that will finish reading The Fault in Our Stars or All the Bright Places and will cry her eyes out till midnight.
"You're weird," Lisa my good friend once said, (I like to say "good" not "best" because no one is "The Best" at anything.) when I was crying because SPOILER ALERT Augustus Waters just died.
"I told you this the first time we met." I replied and she nodded thoughtfully as though she was remembering something and honestly I was too.
4 years ago:
It was a summer back in ninth grade, and I was sitting on a swing alone, thinking about which way to die is the best; being strangled to death or jumping off a building. I was so busy mourning (about something I don't even remember now) I didn't even notice her at first, there was a girl with shoulder length brown hair and olive skin, in a harry potter sweat shirt holding out her hand to me.
"You don't want me I am weird," I said to her.
"I like weird." She replied softly and grinned at me, I grinned back because I love how soothing her voice was.
"So you want to be...acquaintances?"She asked me holding out her hand, of course I took it and from than we have been each other's better (not best) friend. I later found that her name is Lisa and she later found that my name was Catherine or just Cath. Lisa also introduced me to one of her friends; Amy.
"Hey, Amy meet our new friend Catherine, our new friend."
Amy waved at me, I waved back.
"It's just Cath."
"Okay. Hey, Just Cath."Amy grinned and I grinned back. That is when I realized something. "All of our name matches the Cimorelli Sisters!" I cried.
"You know Cimorelli?"Lisa asked.
"Yup!"
"Oh.My.God!" Amy and Lisa shrieked and hugged me, "Welcome to the CimFam!"
For those of you who don't know what Cimorelli is, it's a band of five sisters (originally six but Danny left the band) who make amazing covers, originals and "other fun stuff"
From then on our friendship strengthened and we cried at sleepovers because of Danny Cimorelli's leaving the band and how good Lisa Cimorelli's high notes were.
We even went for a haircut just like Lisa Cimorelli (pixie cut), but no one was brave enough and by the end only I got a pixie cut while Amy cut her hair chin-length. Lisa didn't cut hers at all, she did dye her hair green (Lisa Cimorelli's hair colour at the time) which on her olive skin did not look good. It would have looked better on Amy who was almost like a china doll; Fair complexion, cute freckles around her nose and big, blue eyes, but Lisa thought she was rocking it so who was I to argue.
A tap on my back bought me back to my surroundings and I looked back to see Katie, a girl in my class (I was a freshman at the time) looking up to me expectantly. Oh yeah, Fangirl I remembered. I took out the book and handed it out to her, than I tried to say something I heard while I myself was reading the book for the first time; "It is good but it ain't got no story to it."
"Okay...umm...thanks, bye." she replied confused.
I heard It is good but it ain't got no story to it, and from then on my brain has been trying to figure out Fangirl's story which it coudn't because well it ain't got no story to it. So, now when ever I give any one a book to borrow I make sure to keep my mouth shut but this one time felt so satisfying ,almost like a revenge for the person (I don't remember who) who said It is good but it ain't got no story to it.
