"Once the most powerful kingdom in Gala, the current Beige Kingdom is only a hollow shell of what it once was. Before the Invasion, the Beige Kingdom was the dominant power in Gala, holding the Colour Throne in their powerful fortress, The Heart Of The Land. After the invasion, it's power was diminished severely, limiting it to merely a side kingdom. And after the Uprising, its power was diminished even more, making it almost irrelevant-" Galian History Book

"We should be nearing the Beige Kingdom now," Alexia muttered as she studied our maps while we walked on the roads once again, "We better watch out now, the Beige Kingdom has been chaotic ever since the Uprising."

"No matter," I replied, "Our old base was situated near the Heart remember? I remember the terrain well. A lot better than those marshes anyways."

"Agreed," Kyxio said, "Anything but those marshes again. Are you sure we're near the Beige Kingdom Alexia? Cause I have a little business to attend to there."

Kyxio fiddled with a little emblem in his hands while we walked along. I tried to get a good look at it, but we were moving too fast to get a good look and I didn't want to intrude into his privacy.

"What's the situation in the Beige Kingdom?" I said, trying to change the topic, "Last I heard from them, they were unified against the Regime."

"Most of them are," Alexia said, "The Beige Kingdom was shattered ever since King Vorgan died during the Uprising. But they were unified once again. By another clan, but there are rumours that Vorgan had a son before the Uprising broke out. If he's still alive, then he could unify the Kingdom."

"General Yannik," Kyxio abruptly said, "That's who's leading the Beige Kingdom dorces right now. Last I heard, they were still stationed at the East Turret after the Battle Of GoldRidge. Not all the clans went with Yannik though. About 70% I'd say. The rest won't follow someone whose not of royal blood, so they prefer to stay and continue their bickering."

"How do you know all this?" I replied, but before anyone could say anything, a loud screeching feeled the air.

"What the hell was that?" Kyxio said, drawing his sword.

I kept silent and also drew my sword, surveying the ground and air around us. Our tiny escort did the same, turning a defensive position around us. There were only 10 of us left. If there were an attack, we wouldn't stand another chance.

"Guys, relax," Alexia cut in, pushing my sword down, "It's just a messenger."

I took a closer look at the sky and saw that she was right. A small raven was flying towards us, with a small letter tied to its leg. I sheathed my sword and motioned for everyone else to do the same.

Alexia reached her arm out and the raven landed on it. It was weird how well Alexia interacted with animals. It must have something to do with her magic, I assumed. She untied the paper parchment from the raven's leg and dug some corn out of her pocket.

"Feed him and get him ready for a return trip," She ordered me, not moving her eyes off the paper which she was reading.

"How do you even know it's a him," I grumbled as I raised my arm for the raven to hop onto.

It's sharp claws dug into my skin as I offered some corn in my other hand to its mouth. I had never had a close look with a raven before. It was unnaturally small, about the size of both of my hands. It's eyes were constantly darting around, searching for signs of danger. It pecked at my hand, catching pieces of corn and occasionally biting my hand.
