(Y/n)'s pov:
The past few weeks have been hectic for me. My parents are really hyping me up for this whole intern thing at U.A. I've been cramming and studying nonstop to learn how to deal with petty children and organization skills. My chances of me getting the job are low, but I have the same chance that everybody else has, right? It doesn't hurt to try. Plus, this job (or payed internship?) is a total step up from what I'm working at currently. This job would be a total turning point for my life and lifestyle. I have a chance to get in thanks to my quirk, I'm basically a human shield. I can't die so I'd be used to protect all the youngsters. The point is, I have to nail this interview thing. I had already called the school to schedule the interview and turn in my resumé. They know the all about me and about all the college degrees I don't have. This is so stressful! I've never been this stressed in my life! This isn't fair! Why can't life just give you what you want when you want it?! Ugh! I need to calm myself down. The interview is in a week. I have a week to prepare for this job and prove I'm a right fit. Confidence, (Y/n)!
-- --
After a week of preparing, I feel awful. I'm extremely unqualified for this job. I don't even have a college degree! How am I supposed to get an internship without a college degree?! I have to stay calm and collected. I need to show that I'm a worthy applicant for this position and don't need a college degree to be able to perform the job correctly. I've got this!
3rd person pov:
The girl proceeded to leave her apartment after dressing in something sophisticated and appropriate. She wore skinny black pants with a white button up shirt and a long black jacket. She had put on a pair of white socks and black flats before leaving out the door and taking the elevator to the lobby. She let herself out and called a cab to come and take her to the prestigious school.
The school had no parking so the cab had to park at a nearby restaurant. When walking to the school, she had only then noticed how many people applied for the internship. There had to be at least a hundred people, not including students. With a shaky breath, the girl had taken a step onto the premises. Her confidence slowly fading as she looked at the more professional adults surrounding her. She felt small and immature. She was definitely younger than most of these people. She was less experienced and definitely not as smart. Plus these people had a better attitude and work ethic. Compared to these adults, (Y/n) was nothing.
(Y/n) always found it somewhat funny that she was more anxious talking to people who weren't criminals than talking to people who were. She thinks it's because criminals make her feel stronger, as if no matter what she would always win when it came to them. But people who knew better than to rob, steal, and murder made her feel belittled. Most of her adult life had been filled with danger. She feels as if she owes people who do the bare minimum.
After waiting for ten minutes, a young woman with short brown hair in a black pantsuit came and told everyone to get in a line outside of the school. It was a Sunday, so the children didn't have school. The line didn't fit inside the school, and it came out to reach around the gates. Lucky for (Y/n), she was right outside the door of the school building itself. She took a deep breath and gathered her confidence. And as the line got shorter, she would practice everything she knew in her head. The organization skills she had learned and her ability to deal with angsty high school teenagers. She was so caught up in her head, that she didn't even notice the line had caught up to her. She was next. The woman with short brown hair had walked up to her. "Name?" She stated firmly.
"What?" (Y/n) asked.
The woman had sighed and clicked a pen she was holding. She adjusted her clipboard and lightly flipped her hair. "I need your name. Please."
