Hands so gentle I nearly forget
My worries and sorrows collected and yet.
She pulls me close and hugs me tight,
There's that scent- familiar and light.
I tip my head back to gaze at her face,
Soft yet sad as she smiles at the embrace.
Searching,
         Searching,
Her eyes are searching, for what I cannot tell.
Tearful green and gold was all I saw as the tears gracefully fell.
Thumb to her cheek,
I swipe them away.
Forehead to mine,
We sit in silent stay.
Together in our sorrow,
One in our pain.
Nothing to lose,
Everything to gain.
Falling,
         Falling,
                We're both still falling.
Falling in sadness but also affection.
Bonded in similar emotional ways,
Together we'll heal with time and devotion.
I tug your curls,
You smile, I grin
And it's okay now,
The worlds right again
