Shen Xi Meng opened his eyes. There were no ripples and it was as calm as the deep sea.

Seeing his surroundings, Shen Xi Meng almost jumped up from fright.

His lips trembled. His eyes blurred but Shen Xi Meng quickly uses his long wide sleeve to wipe off the tears that were about to come out.

After wiping his tears, Shen Xi Meng opened his eyes wide just to clarify if he's seeing things or not.

His surroundings were clear and Shen Xi Meng can smell that familiar scent that he's so used to in the past.

Shen Xi Meng is currently in an ancient style room. He sat on the bed up straight while his feet touched the ground.

With a stretch of his right hand, Shen Xi Meng gently rubs the intricate headboard that was right next to him. Surely, the sense of touch was really real.

It isn't a dream.

Shen Xi Meng stood up from his bed and got out of his room. Opening the door, light greeted him and a familiar courtyard came into view. A warm feeling emerged inside as he walks towards the direction of the main hall.

When Shen Xi Meng got there, his father was already sitting on the head seat and taking a sip of tea.

While walking in the main hall towards where his father is, Shen Xi Meng looks at the man who only looks like an 18-19 year old person. But in fact, that man that is sitting down and drinking tea is an old geezer with more than 1000 years old.

But, no matter a geezer, just seeing his father alive and well in front of him made a smile appear on his face.

"Father." Shen Xi Meng stopped in front of his father, Shen Hai, and greeted him.

Shen Hai was just about to take another sip of his tea when he saw his son having a slight smile on his face. He instantly froze.

"Did you take the wrong medicine?" Shen Hai couldn't help but ask. "Your smile is scary. Don't scare this old man to death."

Shen Xi Meng stopped smiling. His smile is scary? Is it that bad?

"Better." Seeing Shen Xi Meng stopped smiling, Shen Hai nodded since seeing the expressionless and cold side of his son was more like it. "Sit down."

Hearing that, Shen Xi Meng sat down on a chair that was on the side. "Father, you have something to tell me?"

Shen Xi Meng frown slightly. He reluctantly stood up from his seat and went over to his father.

The moment he was a couple of inches away from Shen Hai, Shen Hai suddenly grabbed both of Shen Xi Meng's ears with his hands and pulled on it.

Shen Hai asked with a smile, "Did you really understand?"
