Chapter 6- Zhi Qiang

Shen Xi Meng was sitting down in a corner in this dark room. He bent his legs until it touches his chest as both his hands rest on his knees.

Even though Shen Xi Meng knew that his current situation was all caused by an illusion, it didn't change the fact that everything in his surroundings was lifelike.

Shen Xi Meng let out a cold small laugh. Can he even do a thing in this situation? If he succumbs to his mental demons, it'll implicate his martial path.

Furthermore, knowing Hui Jianyu, Hui Jianyu would be able to easily defeat his mental demons even without Shen Xi Meng being there for him.

How could Shen Xi Meng accept this? Even after dying two lifetimes, Shen Xi Meng still doesn't like being inferior to Hui Jianyu. He wants to prove his own worth!

Shen Xi Meng took a deep breath. At that moment, the door creaks and opened before closing back on its own.

A man with fair pale skin came in. His expression was calm, without the slightest ripple in his dark eyes. He wore a black robe, enhancing his beauty even more.

Shen Xi Meng's long eyelashes tremble as he lowered his eyes. Saying that he wants to overcome his mental demon is easier said than done.

The man known as Zhi Qiang walks towards Shen Xi Meng's way without hurrying. His footsteps were light as well as elegant.

As he stopped right in front of Shen Xi Meng, Shen Xi Meng couldn't help but hold his breath. Zhi Qiang then leaned down as a portion of his long black ink hair slide down to the front of his chest.

Slowly, he uses his slim and slender fingers to hold onto Shen Xi Meng's chin. Shen Xi Meng was forced to look straight at Zhi Qiang's eyes as he bit his lips.

While bitting his lips, Shen Xi Meng could tell that he was trembling so much that he couldn't even bit on his lips hard enough.

Was he that afraid of looking at Zhi Qiang straight in the eyes?

Right at that moment, a small smile formed on Zhi Qiang's handsome face as he leaned closer. His lips brushed past Shen Xi Meng's cheek and Zhi Qiang stopped when his lips were right next to Shen Xi Meng's ear.

Shen Xi Meng shuddered with that small action of Zhi Qiang. But, instantly...

Boom!

The door blast into small pieces as a handsome youth wearing an azure robe and having his hair tied up simply with a ribbon walk into the room while heaving up and down as if out of breath.

It was none other than Hui Jianyu!

Shen Xi Meng looks at Hui Jianyu with widened eyes. The Hui Jianyu standing near the entrance of the now blasted door wasn't that 12 years old child but a grown-up version! What's going on? Why is he here?

Hui Jianyu was out of breath. Only after defeating his own mental demons which weren't that hard, was he able to have the time to find out where Shen Xi Meng was after using much of his mental energy.

But, right at the moment when he was able to locate and even meet Shen Xi Meng, what he saw was another man taking advantage of Shen Xi Meng!

This undoubtedly made Hui Jianyu angry!

Zhi Qiang didn't look at Hui Jianyu. It was as if he didn't notice Hui Jianyu at all.

In a flash, Hui Jianyu appeared right next to Zhi Qiang. A sword made of golden light formed as Hui Jianyu slashed right at Zhi Qiang with it. Immediately, the man in black robe dissipated into thin air.

Hui Jianyu grabbed onto Shen Xi Meng's hand and yanked Shen Xi Meng into his embrace. While holding onto Shen Xi Meng with his left hand, Hui Jianyu stabbed the ground with the sword in hand.

Cracks formed on the ground and in seconds, the world cracks as if it's just like the breaking of a mirror. Fragments of light floated up as Shen Xi Meng and Hui Jianyu were in the middle of all this.

Hui Jianyu sighs inwardly out of relief. Luckily, in his last life, he had learned a spell that allows him to destroy one's mental demon.

Shen Xi Meng was shocked. It was over just like that?!

Shen Xi Meng looks at Hui Jianyu suspiciously. This Hui Jianyu in front of him...

Could he have also reborn?!

If Hui Jianyu really had reborn, that would explain everything. It would explain why before the trials begin, Hui Jianyu walks up to him which in his past life, Hui Jianyu never did. It would also explain why Hui Jianyu is a grown-up in front of him!

"You..." Shen Xi Meng narrowed his eyes as he stared at Hui Jianyu.

Hui Jianyu also looks back at Shen Xi Meng. It wasn't hard to understand that the Shen Xi Meng in front of him isn't a child but instead, the man whom he had encountered numerous times in his past life. Just the scene where Shen Xi Meng was facing his mental demon proved that point.

With a snap of Hui Jianyu's hand, time froze. When Shen Xi Meng saw that, he noticed that he couldn't move. Next, he heard Hui Jianyu saying, "Sorry. It seems I'll have to erase some of your memories."

When Shen Xi Meng opened his eyes, he notices that he was laying with his back facing the ground. In front of him was Hui Jianyu smiling at him innocently. "Xi Meng, you're awake."

Shen Xi Meng sat up and look dazedly at the space door right behind him.

What happened?

Shen Xi Meng looks at the bracelet on his hand. It wasn't white but now a golden color.

A look of disbelief appeared on his face. He was sure he hadn't face any mental demons yet. How did he suddenly earn a golden bracelet and passed the second trial? The last thing he remembered was him and Hui Jianyu walking inside the space door and then...

And then he was right outside here? Ah?
