Chapter 13- A lasting Impression

Early the next morning, Shen Xi Meng woke up breathing heavily.

He held his chest tightly as if he could still feel the pain stabbing harshly inside his skin. Narrowing his eyes, Shen Xi Meng frown.

It was a dream...

Smoothing his expression and going back to his normally expressionless face, Shen Xi Meng sat up from the bed and looked around.

Isn't this inside Qing Yuan's house?

Shen Xi Meng walked outside. The sun still hasn't appeared and there was a slight mist around the surroundings. The ground still wet with morning dews. The cold air refresh without pollution.

And in the middle of this beauty, a teenage boy around the age of 13 wearing a black robe stood in the middle of the yard.

His skin as beautiful as snow itself, his gentle nature combined with his beautiful smile warms anything that places their eyes on him.

Shen Xi Meng stood near the door as he froze, silently savoring the scenario in front of him. The nightmare he had this morning, all vanished with a single glance at Qing Yuan.

Qing Yuan stretch out his hand with his palm facing up. He didn't look at Shen Xi Meng, only lightly saying, "It's going to rain soon."

A drop of water fell down from the sky and touched the tip of Shen Xi Meng's nose. Only then did he snap out of his daze.

"En." Shen Xi Meng nodded only after a while.

Shen Xi Meng starts to walk and just as he walks past Qing Yuan by a couple of steps, he pursed his lips. Pausing for a second, Shen Xi Meng turns around and said slowly to Qing Yuan, "I'm going now."

Qing Yuan widened his eyes, seemingly not expecting Shen Xi Meng to inform him. But, he efficiently went back to his calm state. With a smile, Qing Yuan replied with an "Mm."

Shen Xi Meng turned back and started walking. Not after walking a couple of steps, he stopped and looks back at Qing Yuan.

Shen Xi Meng raised a brow as he asks, "Why are you following me?"

A soft chuckle came from Qing Yuan as he said as his eyes curved beautifully, "After we slept on the same bed, you suddenly want to leave me behind the next day?"

Shen Xi Meng, "....."

Cough. Why does that sound like I am a f*ckboy???

A misunderstanding! It's all a misunderstanding!

Shen Xi Meng stood silently for a moment at a loss for words. He really wants to make some friends this lifetime so he definitely cannot be cold and indifferent to those that he chose to be friends with.

Contemplating for a moment, Shen Xi Meng seems to recall a movie from his last life on Earth. It was a real cliche and cringe movie.

The female lead said to the protagonist as she sobs sadly, "After finally sleeping with me, you're going to leave me?"

Shen Xi Meng noticed that what the female lead in that movie and what Qing Yuan said was really similar. Plus, what the protagonist does and said after that made the female lead really happy. Maybe he could do the same as what the protagonist did?

Maybe this will strengthen his bonds with Qing Yuan...

Shen Xi Meng walks a couple of steps towards Qing Yuan and stopped in front of Qing Yuan. He looks straight at Qing Yuan's eyes as he reached out and grabbed Qing Yuan's hand into his.
