15: Once Again, I Met Him

Kurama: Arina . Arina. Must be working again.

He enters her lab room to look for her. There she was pouring liquids from one flask to another. He watched as she pours the liquid, the flask starts to overflow as it bubbles as she continues to pour. The liquid spills onto her hand and she drops it out of heat . The flask crashes onto the floor .

Arina : oh. Well.

" Arina. " He held onto her wrist. " Ahh!!! Kurama ! Phew... " She relieves a breath.

Kurama ; what's wrong ? You're usually very concentrated doing your work.

Arina ; no... I just... Was thinking of something else.

He makes a plant grow from the ground. He plucks out the leaves and crushes it in his hands, rubbing the leaves with his palms creating a smush. He applies it over her burn " Vicel ? "

Arina: his patient !! Not him.

Kurama : if you want to go that much, I'll go with you.

Arina: but don't you have things to steal ?

Kurama : silly Arina. I'm ok with going with you.

Arina : hehe. Arigatou.

Vicel : I knew it. You would come.

Arina ; for the patient.

Vicel:  hmph. Found another guy to torture you ? You're really a masochist. You should just grovel back to me if that's what you want.

Kurama: did you run out of girls to listen to you, that's why you're aiming for my Arina ?

Vicel got a little pissed " oh , so this is who you found. "

Arina : Kurama found me, to be exact.

Vicel : hmph. How's your frozen heart ? I heard that Hina's helping you till now. You should be glad I didn't do anything to her, seeing we're working in the same building.

Arina : she just has no use to you, you don't want to spend the effort.

Vicel : there's that.

Arina : where's the patient ?

" Don't rush. I haven't really introduced myself. " Vicel stepped forward and stretched his hand out for a handshake " Vicel Shiori. Doctor scientist. One of the best. "

Arina : don't think about it !! Kurama. Don't.

Vicel ; oh. Your name is Kurama. It's just a handshake. It's ok if you don't want to.

Kurama takes it " Youko Kurama. Came here to accompany Arina. Wanted to see who's this lover she had as well. "

Vicel ; and what did you think ?

Kurama: well, you look like what she described

Vicel : I see.

The handshake breaks off and Vicel walks ahead further into the village " our patient is called Duncie. "

Vicel : this is Duncie.

Their patient has 5 hands, 5 legs, 5 breasts, 1 belly. The legs were positioned in a way where there was 2 front and 2 back like a 4 legged animal while the 5th was right in the middle. The face of the yokai has 5 eyes, 5 nostrils of one nose , 5 ears ; 3 on one side, 2 on the other. This yokai also weirdly only had one mouth.

Kurama : that's a very... Weird yokai that I've never seen before.

Arina : they're almost like unicorns just not actually them cos they actually exist. Unicorns are myths.

Duncie : thank you for helping me. Originally, I would just pluck out my damaged organs to have new one regenerated. But my dangerous are way too extensive, if I pluck it all out at once, I'll probably die before I can regenerate in time.

Arina : I know about your species.

Duncie ; you have worked on one before then ?

Arina : no. You guys are really rare. But it will be fine.

Duncie : of course you would. You are a shiori too neh.

Vicel ; of course she is.

Arina : how are you holding him up ?

Vicel ; with potions that activate cell regeneration of course. But those don't actually work much so he needs surgery.

Arina : I got it.

" See you tomorrow then. " Vicel stretches his hand out.

" See you. " And she turned away and left.

Arina : are you ok ? Kurama.

Kurama: I feel fine.

Arina : no poison ? That's unlike him. No, I don't believe that. Let me do a super thorough examination !

Kurama: what kind of a surgery is it ?

Arina : organ replacement. Five Organ can regenerate a whole organ but not recover a damaged one. That's why some merchants like to catch one and keep one to keep harvesting them. Another Five Organ has agreed to donate his organs for the patient.

Kurama : so what help does he need from you ?

Arina: I explained before to you, it's a complex surgery because of the 5 times amount of organs and the random positions it is in. He probably needs me to stop the bleeding if he  accidentally cut any important veins or arteries. You know my ability... I can seal stuff up. I can seal it up temporarily in an instant.

Kurama : sounds like you can do this entire operation yourself.

Arina : following his previous style. He wants to claim credit and be the main surgeon.

Kurama : I see. He's that kind of guy.
