I laughed at Niall's lame attempt of a joke as we walked out of the shop.

Management told us to spend time together in public today so we decided to go shopping in town.

Millie and Harry asked to look after James for the day so I agreed. I know they'll be taking great care of him though I can't stop wondering if they're okay with him.

"You okay?" Niall asks snapping me out of my thoughts. "What were you thinking about?" He asks.

"Oh er, nothing" I lie, instantly feeling guilty for not being honest with him.

"Okay" he nods as we step out into the rain.

We both put our hoods up as we walk down the street to find somewhere to have something to eat.

"Niall!" An Irish accent calls.

We both look up to find a guy who looks a just little older than Niall walking towards us.

"Nathan! Mate, how are ya?" Niall cheers, embracing his friend in a typical bro hug.

"I'm good mate! How 'bout yerself?" His thick accent says.

"I'm great yeah! Hayley, this is Nathan he's an old family friend! Nathan this Hayley.." Niall gestures towards us both as the brunette shares a smile.

"Lovely to meet ya!" He says.

"You too!" I smile shyly.

"What brings you out here to New York?" Niall asks Nathan.

"Just here for work stuff, thought I'd have a little wonder around town before a meeting later on, what brings you two love birds into town?" Nathan teases.

"L-Love birds?" Niall remarks, a frown appearing on his face at he words.

"Yeah, it's all been in the papers back home, Niall Horan and his new girlfriend!" Nathan chuckles.

"Uhh yeah.." Niall says fumbling with the zip on his jacket.

"I've got to get going but I'll text ya or something for us to get a catch up another day!" Nathan suggests.

"Yeah that's sounds great! See you Nate!" Niall calls after him as Nathan begins to walk away.

"See you Ni!" He calls back.

Instantly Niall continues walking quickly, as if trying to get away from me. Oh great, another one of his moods.

"Niall what's up?" I ask him, catching up to him while dodging the odd puddles from the rain.

"I hate having to lie to my own friends and family about this stupid relationship!" He snaps.

"Im sorry Niall, I hate it aswell but there's nothing I can-"

"Yes there is Hayley! You could quit! Why don't you just quit? How could you need the money so desperately? What are you some gold digging bitch or something?"

I stopped in my tracks. Frozen in a state of shock at his words.

A gold digging bitch? Did he really just accuse me of that?

"Excuse me?" I spit, causing Niall to also stop on his tracks and finally turn to face me.

"You've got to be kidding me. I can't believe you just said!" I said, feeling the anger build up inside me.

"Well why else would you be sticking around for this job? You must just be a fame seeking little whore!" Niall scoffed, each word stinging as it leaves his mouth.

I don't even recognise him. That was the last straw!

"No Niall! I don't have this job or need the money because I'm some gold digging bitch or fame seeking little whore! I desperately need the money, not for myself, but for my son!" I blurt out as I feel the tears pricking at my eyes.

His eyes dart to mine in amazement.

"A son? Y-you have a s-son?" He manages to stutter out.

"Yes I do. It wasn't exactly my life plan to have a one year old baby at this age with no money, no job, no home or no family but theres nothing I can do, and you would know all this if you weren't such an arrogant, disrespectful little asshole! You know Niall, I used to be a huge fan of the band, not just the band but of you, yourself, in particular. I thought you were so amazing and kind and sweet. but now? Now I can exactly what you are and I can't do this anymore! I don't want this job, I can't take it anymore! Even if it means losing everything I don't care. I just have to get away from you. I used to love you, you were my idol. Now? Now, I hate you!" I scream as the tears roll down my cheeks once again along with the drops of rain.

I immediately turn around and walk as fast as I can to get away from him.

I can hear him call my name but I don't turn round. I won't. He's hurt me way too many times and he's completely not who I thought he was. I can't do this stupid job anymore, no amount of money is worth the hurt he has caused.

I've got to quit.
