Chapter three - preparations

Teacher saw his "Friends", saw everything that happened to him and to other people. All people in Monolith were aggressive and mindless zealots, who constantly fight with other factions. Factions however, didn't anything about the Monolith, this faction is a great mystery to all stalkers. Factions only knew, that the Monolith is immune to "brainburner", discharges and mutants.

His "Friends" was fighting side by side with him, killing their enemies. But Teacher wasn't shooting, wasn't aiming and wasn't holding a rifle. He just watch, as people screaming and dying slowly. World around him spinned and he woke up.

Teacher woke up in the mourning, well slept. No traps were charged and no beast's tracks were found. Teacher understood some things: the beasts which he encountered are hostile, Chepurnoy proved that. But why this beasts didn't show any hostility towards him? Is they still consider him as Monolith? Or there was another reason? Didn't matter, Teacher got a new problem... Food. He understood, that his canned food lasts for a week, but he needs to find a way to get the new food. He is in unknown territory, with unknown fauna and flora, so check surroundings wouldn't be a bad idea. He exit the cave and started to look around for something to eat. His own trainings prevent him from eating all fruits and berries he find, they might be poisonous. He found a fruit palm with strange fruits, which looks like purple bananas, and hide himself in the bush, waiting for birds to eat them. If they eats them, then this is not poisonous. Weird birds sat on the tree, but didn't eat the fruits.

'Poisonous' thought Teacher and moved somewhere else. He found a berry bush with yellow strawberries. Birds landed near the bush, and started to eat the berries. This will do.

Another thing to consider. Teacher will engage in first contact, so he needs to thought about how he will do it. Also, he really needs to repaint his armor, white colour isn't very stealthy.

He grabbed Chepurnoy's bottle of whiskey and poured it on his grave.

"Let this help you in afterlife" Teacher said. He believed, that everything can help dead people in afterlife, so he send Chepurnoy some alcohol. Chepurnoy might be happy in hell, or heaven, Teacher didn't know.

First step to be stealthy had come, he made a ghillie suit from leaves. It wasn't great, but it was something. He put up Ghillie suit on his exoskeleton and look at himself. Ghillie suit covered white places on armor, but didn't covered tubes. He taped sone leaves on his rifle and Vychlop. Teacher knew, someone will find him and evenge those mutants, so he needs to hide the cave as well. He doesn't know how though, leaves won't hide it, he need camouflage net. But where would he find it? He can't go in the town, he might be attacked, and he won't make one.

Teacher was doing equipment check, until night comes. He lay on his bed and drifted to sleep.
