Chapter 2: The Experiment

"How the hell did you get her to agree"

"What? You didn't believe in my skills? Well also, there was some unexpected news that kinda helped with my case in a way." 

Matt was talking to Carter to tell him that he will be in the experiment. 

"Oh, the baby? Yeah, she called me about it when you were called into work. Why did you think I was smirking when you came in. You know how horrible I am at lying."

"You knew about the baby...BEFORE ME!?"

"Well, Sarah called me only to see what was so important because it kinda interrupted her. But my charming skills got her to tell me," he said with a big smile.

"Oh, whatever. So when do I start this experiment?" 

"Come in tomorrow and they should get you started on it. I am going to find out more details and you should ask P."

"Alright, then I should probably get going. Sarah's going to start throwing punches if I stay on the phone too long after hearing the news."

"BEAT HIS ASS SARAH! Ok bye." He said as he hung up.

"Jesus, one-day I'll..." Matt said muttering and then getting pulled away by his wife.

"Matt?" said a familiar voice

"MATT," said his Sarah hitting him with a pillow trying to wake him up.

"AH. Sarah... why are you waking me up so early..." he said half awake.

"Its 12pm and I and trying to make the bed. You were dreaming again. What was it this time sounded like you were scared?"

"Uh I don't know, it was like someone was calling for me. The person's voice sounded really familiar too. If you let me sleep longer maybe I would know more," shaking his head.

"Oh sorry about that then. Your breakfast/lunch is on the table so get it when you want it."

"Ok thanks, babe," he says as he immediately starts eating the food. "Wait, what's today..?"

"Um well, I'm supposed to get my nails done so its Monday."

"OH SHIT, TODAY'S THE EXPERIMENT," he said while running to get clothes on. "Ok, I got to head in and you are coming too."

"But... my nails... You are lucky I love you. You owe me now."

"Whatever, just text my sister. Now you have your teleporter so let's get out of here," he said while they both tped to the HQ.

They both land at the EDG HQ and enter to find Carter. "Well hello Sarah," he said while running to touch her stomach. "And hellooo... baby boy? Girl?"

"Not saying and we aren't finding out," she said smiling.

"Already tried it, Carter. Great minds think alike."

"Huh great? I know I am not so sure about you. Anyway come this way and we can meet up with everyone," Carter said while walking in a lab.

"Heyy Matt and Sarah. Congrats by the way!" said Matt's sister, Liv.

"Yes, congratulations on the baby," said Phoebe.

"Ok now let's give you some more information on this and you and Sarah can talk it over more," said the director as they told them all about the experiment about to happen. "Now that we have a confirmation, the powers this should give you are healing, super strength, control of fire and water, and telekinesis. All of these will help others and I will make sure personally that you get the help needed to get used to them."
