Chapter 3: The Team

Matt fully recovered after a few days in HQ with many visits from his family and friends but also scientists to experiment with his new abilities. He still had trouble controlling the telekinesis and fainted on occasions, so the scientists came to the conclusion that telekinesis will be only used in emergencies and that power is permanently damaged inside him.

Matt was called into work and was lead to the "The Garage", where helicopters, planes, and any flying vehicle was kept in HQ and was met by his mother in front of a large new plane.

"Its beautiful isn't it? I specially made to award you and all your success in your time working here and willing to be our new experiment," she said as her son approached the newly built plane.

"No way. Are you serious! I love it but isn't it a little big just for me?" he said a little curious.

"Well, actually I've also put together a team. An elite team made of the strongest members we have in the system. I trust each of them and hope you will like your new team."

"New team... what about my old one? What about Carter? What will happen to them?"

"Don't worry they are specialists and still will be working in the OPS division but as of now, they are doing solo missions. As for Carter, he will be on your new team as well as more."

Matt sighs of relief "I know they will do well in their missions I trained them well. Now, who else is on the team?"

"Go ahead on board and see for yourself," she said smiling.

Matt walks on the ramp of the plane and passes three black, geared, EDG cars all lined up next to each other. The two cars are fast, bulletproof, and stored with a smart computer system throughout the car. The third is a van to store weapons and another smart computer system but with more useful information during missions. All cars are equipped with a communication system to talk to one another while driving as well as an EDG badge on the sides of the cars to top it off. He walks past the cars and comes to a lab on the plane. The doors automatically open and he sees two scientists busily setting up equipment for their new lab. The woman had long brown hair in a braid and lab coat with her badge that identified her as a Level 5 agent. The man had jet black hair with a similar coat and Level 5 badge. They notice Matt and the Director so they stand up and greet him.

They come up to Matt smiling, "Hi, I'm Ellie and this is my lab partner-"

"My name's Zac. We are so excited to be on your team, sir."

"Yes, I am excited as well to work with you all. Are you happy with your lab?"

"Happy? It is beyond words on how happy we are we get this all to ourselves!" she said.

"Well great, I'm happy that you're happy."

He handed them both earpieces so that everyone can talk to each other on the team. "Now I'm gonna go find the rest of my team," he said and he turned around to go out the doors and up the staircase to the second floor. He walked into a lounge room to find Carter and Liv on the holodesk playing checkers against each other. "Oh great, I'm stuck with you two on a plane. This will go greattt..." he said sarcastically.

Matt's entrance didn't make either of them flinch and the continued to play the game.

"Sorry Matt that you're stuck with us blah blah blah now keep moving I don't want to look away or this cheater will make a move behind my back," said Carter continuing to not lookup.

Matt laughed it off and walked through the rest of the plane. He could hear the arguing in the back. "HEY I'M NOT THE CHEATER MISTER DOUBLE MOVE-"
