After a few weeks, Seokjin and Yoongi were still not talking.

Then Yoongi found a message slipped into his dinner tray.

at 300 tomorrow go to the shower room

from there you'll be put on a truck that carries the prison's produce in

goodbye yoongi

i'm sorry it had to be this way

Yoongi couldn't help but notice that the paper was splattered with droplets of water...

At 2:55 in the morning, Yoongi was ready. He was in the shower room by 2:59. He was hidden onto the truck at 3:07.

He presumed that Seokjin's only goodbye had been in that letter because he hadn't spoken a word.

This was the end.

~

He was dropped off at a supermarket half a mile away from his house. The walk would only be ten minutes, but Yoongi found himself wanting to get back onto the truck rather than go home.

His puppy was dead. His family hated him. He would live in his house alone. He would never see Seokjin ever again.

What had he been thinking?

Was this really worth being free?

~

Holly had been killed in the bombing. Part of his house had been demolished. It had been fixed but his dog was gone forever.

Yoongi didn't want another dog.

At least his TV worked. And his cell phone had been untouched for the past eight months.

He grabbed the remote and collapsed onto the couch, flipping channels.

He settled on the news and went to go find some food.

Then he heard...

"Min Yoongi, allegedly responsible for the bombings in Daegu, had been released.

"An anonymous source had given us the lead that Kim Seokjin, a prison guard, had been an accessory to the crime. The police looked into it and have found this to be true. However, the true bomber is still unknown—"

Yoongi screamed out loud, gripped his hair, and pulled, hard.

This was never supposed to happen.

How did this happen?
