The Love Triangle [Chapter Four]

I glare at Liam, he words have angered me greatly. “Bullshit” I spit at him, growling angry under my breath. I don’t realise how loud I am being, until I feel eyes of the other diners on me. Liam gives me a warning look, and I slam my lips shut.

“She’s a Saxondale” Liam hisses at me. As soon as those words leave his lips, my eyes widen and my jaw drops. That is impossible, I can’t be mated to a Saxondale She-Wolf. I can’t, he must be mistaken.

Every wolf – in the entire world – knows of the British Wolf Pack, where a witch cursed all the She-Wolves to be fated with multiple mates. But, I refuse to believe one of them is my mate – that can’t be right.

In Britain they have a strict rule that the She-Wolves have to pick one of their mates and can’t keep them all. I don’t like the sound of that – if Cher really is a Saxondale and Liam really is her mate, she might not choose to stay with me. That makes me extremely nervous.

“But…” I stammer. This was the first time in a while that I was lost for words. I was a great actress, Grammy award winning stuff, always an answer for something and always a way out of anything. But as I find this out, I am speechless. Nothing to say.

“I know” Liam replies, even though I haven’t said anything. “I met Cher about two weeks ago, and she ran from me – just like she did to you, I’m guessing. After I calmed her down, she explained everything to me. At first I was furious, and I did something’s I regret. But, finally, I came around”.

“I won’t give her up” I growl at Liam. I am speaking the truth – I refuse to give Cher over to Liam. She is mine. She belongs to me.

“And neither will I” Liam nods, a small smile creeping on her lips. “But, I should let you know something. Cher told me that her mother killed herself, because she had to let go of three of her mates. So Cher isn’t going to reject either of us”.

His words both shock me and sadden me. “So what we have to share her?” I ask, angry.

Liam shrugs, “do I like it? No, of course not. But, I managed to get used to the idea of sharing her with another man. And now that her other mate is a woman…well, let’s just say I’m more than happy with her mate being you. Because if get her, then I get you as well”. He gives a large cheeky grin.

“Now hold on--”

“On come on, Leila” Liam pouts playfully. “Don’t ruin the dream”.

“You’re a pervert”.

“And you’re almost as hot as my girlfriend”.

“Bite me”.

“I’d love to”.

I sigh heavily, in frustration, but couldn’t help but a small smirk slip onto my lips. Liam was annoying me, and I knew exactly why. He was the exactly the same as me. I was looking a slightly less attractive male version of myself.

“What so you want to share her?” I raise an eyebrow, wondering about this plan of Liam’s. I am shocked by his plan. Yet, I understand. We both want what’s best for Cher – which is rejecting neither of us. However, that means we have to share her; or at least both be with her.

I also understand where Liam is coming from about being happy I was a woman. If Cher’s other mate was a woman, my jealousy would have been worse because I wanted to be the only woman in her life. Liam is Cher’s only man, and I am her only woman. We can work together to make her happy.

“Yes, share her” Liam confirms. “We’re going to put all jealousy, competition and bullshit behind us. Because you and I are going to make that beautiful blonde, English, girl of ours very happy. Understand?”
