A/N-I'M ASHAMED OF MYSELF TOO OKAY!?!?! And to those who ends up liking this chapter, enjoy. I did my best .-.
Mark POV
Mark's night had been fairly..... okay? He had been hanging out with his friends, there's been drama, which he wasn't a part of, fortunately. After Tao had left, he decided he had to talk with Hyuck, a serious conversation that is. He was shaking as he neared the boy by the couch.
They got separated at the party as a fight started, and now that the persons in question had been removed, he was finally able to catch up with Hyuck and continue their night, though Mark had started thinking, and the thoughts kept circulating, and so, he decided that tonight, now, while intoxicated, he had to tell Hyuck what he had to say.
His heartbeat was too loud, and so was the music. The people in the house were too quiet, too quiet in his opinion for him to walk over to Hyuck, who was laughing with Jaemin and Jeno, and tell him he needed to speak with him privately.
He wanted to back out of it, and just go talk with what was left of their teammates, but just as his legs which stood frozen and heavy as thousand bricks, started to move him away, a voice called
"Mark!"
He saw Hyuck excitedly wave his hand, and he saw the others turn around and look at him. He froze, and he just wanted to be normal and wave back just as excitedly, but because of his current feelings and thoughts, he gave a half-smile and small wave in return.
This made Hyuck's expression change within seconds though.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he got up from the couch and reached Mark faster than the older wanted him to
"Ac-Actually" Mark started out as Hyuck stood before him, but his throat closed up, and he didn't know what to say or how to say it.
"2 seconds" Mark spoke and took a deep breath before exhaling
"I need to talk to you" he spoke once he was a bit calmer "Okay" was all Hyuck said, before starting to walk through the kitchen, urging Mark to follow him.
He knew that when Mark said that, it was private, there's nothing weird or awkward about it. It's usually how Hyuck reacts when Mark says they need to talk, it makes it a bit less scary.
The older quietly followed the other, trying to figure out how he was gonna say what he wanted to say without screwing up, but knowing himself well, he's gonna screw it up anyway, but which solution is the least worst?
He didn't know that yet when they reached an empty room and Hyuck sat down on the couch. Mark stood in the door, scared and frozen because he had nothing, no thoughts, head empty, arms heavy, legs weak, moms spaghetti- focus!- That's not even how the song goes!
Mark snapped out of it when Hyuck softly called his name and patted the spot next to him. The older closed the door behind him softly and made his way towards him, still silent "It's okay if you changed your mind, and don't want to talk, you don't have to say anything, I'll be here okay? You know that right?" Hyuck spoke while softly stroking Mark's hair, something he didn't know affected the older in ways he wished it didn't.
How was he supposed to tell his best friend, who he once avoided for the same reasons, that it's what he wants to say?
Mark nodded, zoned out. He knew Hyuck wouldn't pressure him, but he wants to say it to him, wants to get it out. But how?
Unconsciously, he leaned into Hyuck's touch, and into his side, placing his head on the younger's shoulder. It was everything; it was warm, it was home, and so relaxing, it felt right to hear the other's calm breathing, the feeling of his hand in his hair, the way he softly and ever so lightly caved Mark in with that single touch. How it felt so warm with Hyuck's arm around his shoulders, how the hand played with his hand while the owner just stared straight ahead, unconsciously leaning his head on Mark's. How he hummed ever so quietly, how Mark could feel it when he put his face by the other's neck.
