"Do you have to go?" Inko asked, as Izuku Kyūketsuki began to pull away from their embrace,
"You know why, my love." He whispered, brushing a lock of her hair behind her ear, "I have to keep you safe." He smiled softly, "both of you." gently caressing her cheek, he kissed her.
"I know." She whispered, wanting nothing more then to stay there, with him, forever.
"I will always love you, Inko." He murmured, giving her one last kiss, before leaving. For good.
~two years later~
Inko was sitting at home in her small apartment, scrolling through her phone, when she got a text from her best friend, Mitsuki,
Mi-chan: hey girl. What are you up to?
Nothing much. Just killing time till work. You? :Darin-ko
Mi-chan: I was just reading the hero news, when I found... well, you should read it for yourself.
Below that, Mitsuki had sent a link. When Inko clicked on it, it went straight to a news website from Russia. It had a picture of a dark, fluffy haired man, with bright, jade colored eyes.
"Izuku..." Inko whispered, she tore her eyes away from his adorably freckled face, and read the article. The farther she read, the paler her face became, until the phone slipped from between her numb fingers, the screen cracking against the floor,
Izuku Kyūketsuki
Was convicted of murdering two hundred and eighty-five innocent people at the Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, and was executed early yesterday morning.
No. It couldn't be possible. Why... no. He would never! It had to be a mistake! But even if it was, it was too late to change it now. Inko barely managed to call her work, to tell them that she couldn't come in. As soon as she hung up the phone, she pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped her arms around them, and cried for hours. Her heart, completely, and irrevocably broken.
~three years later~
Inko was pale, and extremely tired, when the nurse smiled at her,
"Do you want to hold him?"
Inko nodded wordlessly, stretching out her arms for her new little boy. The nurse gently handed the small bundle to his mother, and Inko cuddled him, gently stroking his cheek. His tiny hands grabbed her finger, and she allowed him to pull it closer to his mouth. When he felt it bump against his lip, he wrapped his tiny lips around it, and started to suck on it, making Inko smile softly as she watched him. He was a perfect look a like to his father, though much, much smaller.
"Have you decided on a name?" Hisashi Midoriya asked, smiling slightly, when his wife nodded,
"Izuku. Izuku Midoriya." Her eyes filled with tears of both joy and sadness, as she watched her little baby boy fall asleep, her finger still in his mouth. It suited him, to have his father's name.
~four years later~
Izuku was practically dancing in his car seat, as his mother drove them to the hospital for his checkup.
"Your son doesn't have a quirk."
Izuku's world seemed to shatter, just from one sentence.
He was silent the entire ride home. Inko gently led him into the house, casting worried glances at him every so often, as she led him down the hall, she had expected, at the very least, that he would cry. This silence was unnerving.
"Nē, momma, I'm hungry." He said, looking up at her with those big emerald eyes, as if his dream hadn't been shattered barely an hour ago.
Inko managed a bright smile,
"Alright, why don't we have some katsudon?"
The young boy nodded vigorously, a radiant smile lighting up his face.
The two of them had a nice, albeit quiet, dinner, then curled up to watch a movie together. Just as the movie ended, the front door opened, and a familiar voice called out,
"Inko, Izuku, I'm home."
"Otosan!" Izuku yelled happily, leaping off of the couch, and running into Hisashi's arms. Inko was a little less exuberant in her greeting, giving him a kiss, over the top of Izuku's head.
"Hey, Izu. How was your day?" Hisashi asked, ruffling his son's hair affectionately, Inko silently bit her lip, worried.
"It was really good!" Izuku exclaimed happily, proceeding to tell his father all about his day, especially how easily he had beaten 'Kacchan' at hide and seek. About halfway through, he yawned, though it didn't even slow him down, by the end, Izuku could barely keep his eyes open, so his parents took him to bed and tucked him in with a kiss goodnight from each.
Once his mother and father were gone, Izuku rolled onto his side, and curled into a tight ball, as he let out all of the tears that he had been holding in since the doctors visit. He cried quietly for hours, until he finally cried himself to sleep.
Alright, alright, alright! I got a new one! Itsa gonna be shit. I done care about update schedules, this is legit just something another bnha vampire book gave me an idea for, so obviously, it won't be anywhere near as good.
Also, like my other book, I will not update PERIOD if there is not at least ten reads. As you can see, I'm keeping expectations low, so no pressure for anyone!
Also also, I will update when I deem the next chapter acceptable, and not before, so don't worry, even if it take me a few months, I will, maybe eventually update.
Also also also, even if I do update, the plot line is nonexistent, (aka I have no idea what a plot line is, and I'm not gonna start now)
So, without further Adu,
I'M OUT!!
