Alastor insisted I spend the day relaxing, stating, "I've seen how stressed you are when you come home. Relax for a while before you kill someone."
So I did. I took a hot bath, complete with bubbles and one of my new books. Lounging in the hot, relaxing water, I read "Warriors Don't Cry" and drank a glass of wine. It was the first I had truly relaxed since God knows when and I was enjoying myself immensely.
When I finally managed to drag myself from the tub and wrap up in a soft fluffy robe, I walked out to find Alastor curled up on the couch with a book of his own.
"Dracula?" I asked, peering over his shoulder. Alastor nodded, taking the time to actually place a bookmark on his page instead of just folding the corner of the page, before closing the book and look up at me.
"How was your bath?" He asked.
"Relaxing," I replied as I sat down on the opposite end of the couch, "I hardly ever get to do that."
Alastor chuckled, setting Dracula on the coffee table, "Your job stresses you out far too much. The offer still stands, by the way, I could always dispose of that little rat making your life miserable."
"The offer to murder my terrible coworker is sweet," I sighed, "But let's hold off on that idea. Cops crawling around investigating the disappearance would be just as stressful."
