"I'm a little surprised you like these places," Alastor mused as we wandered down isles filled with the earthly remains of other people's lives. I had let my mental shield down enough to where I could sense anything paranormal. But so far, the only paranormal thing here was Alastor.
"It's the best place to find haunted artifacts," I replied in a whisper, glad there was no one else near me. To any normal person, it would look like I was talking to myself.
Alastor and I wandered around for a bit until I noticed a small vibe of energy coming from a ring displayed in a glass case. Going closer I peered at the beautiful red and gold ring (pictured below), the energy around vibrating the glass against my fingertips.
"I don't like the feel of that." Alastor glared at the ring, looking over my shoulder at the antique piece of jewelry.
"Why not? What's wrong with it?" I asked in a whisper.
"There's something attached to it with malicious intent." He replied, then added when I raised my eyebrow in question, "Meaning it will more than likely try to kill you."
Well then.
"Come on," Alastor said, tugging at my sleeve, "There are some records over here that are far less deadly."
