Hi and welcome to my life. How are you? Good good, unless you're reply was negative, then feel free to talk about whats up in the comment section (if anyone ever reads this).

Anyway, my name is Ciara (pronounced key-rah, not necessary but whatever its always good to know) and I'm 19. I'm from Ireland. Cute, ok now that the formalities are out of the way (you can introduce yourself if you want...) lets get some background information on whats going on.

Ok so the date is the 14th of March, its a Saturday and the year is 2020. The latest fear that has swooped the nation, or should I say world, is the Corona virus.

This disease came about to existence in China and has spread like wildfire ever since. There is no cure known (as far as im aware, im probably wrong about 99.9% of these facts so don't be shy to correct me or add anything). There have been numerous deaths, and even more recoveries.  Those most affected are the elderly, and those with respiratory issues such as asthma. Children are what i call ninja carriers, they are so stealthy that you don't even know that they have it.
It starts off with a cold, then progresses to the flu and results in pneumonia.

So right now I'm actually in a hotel room in Tenerife, off the coast of the western Sahara in Africa, and absolutely everywhere is going on lockdown. Everything in Ireland has already been put on lockdown and there was a question as to whether I'd even be returning home, because the airports in Tenerife are also closing (ha ha🙃) but thankfully the airline company we are flying with are sending out, get this, empty airplanes to fly us home! WoOow.

Side note: I have also contracted an ear infection from the swimming pool, which would mean that if I got the flight home I may end up with a ruptured ear drum so it may have been in the cards to have been quarantined here in this foreign country for 2 weeks.

I know what your thinking "what a dramatic bitch, its just an ear infection" but no, i really just don't want to add anything else to the list of shit wrong with me. Its actually quite funny now that i think about it- i spent the entire holiday being half deaf- as in literally deaf in one ear. When i went to restaurants i couldn't really hear the waiter properly so i just used "thank you" as a generic response to everything, even if they were asking what I'd like to order, so that was kind of funny.

Anyway the flight home is in the morning so i shall see how my eardrums withstand. From the actual quarantining i might do proper diary entries but ill see what kind of mood I'm in.

Good night and don't let the bed bugs bite- Ciara.
P.s please enjoy this picture of my dog, please, there wont be many more i swear.
