"Are you sure you don't want to join us, (Y/n)?" Rapunzel asked from the boat. "Yeah, I'm sure. You guys go on and go see the lanterns without me." (Y/n) spoke. "You sure, (Y/n)?" Eugene asked as he was about to row away. (Y/n) nods her head. "Positive. Besides, I've seen these lanterns all the time. You guys go on with out me. I've got Maximus and Brielle to keep me company." Eugene shrugged his shoulder and begins to row away. He looks back and grabs a bag. "Hey Max." He threw the bag of apples to Maximus. The horse grunts at him. "What? I bought them." Maximus smiles and begins to happily eat the apples. "Most of them." Eugene spoke as Maximus makes a nickers questioningly .

(Y/n) laughs as she pats on Maximus's back. "Relax, Maximus. I paid for the rest, so go ahead and eat up." Brielle nods with her. Maximus smiles and eats the apples.

Back on the boat, Eugene continues to row. Rapunzel turns to him. "Where are we going?"

"Well, best day of your life? I figured you should have a decent seat." Eugene replied as he puts Pascal on the other side of the boat.

As Eugene finished rowing, night had finally came and the kingdom was in complete darkness. As they both gazed at the sky, ready to see the lanterns, Rapunzel lets out a sigh.

"You okay?" Eugene asked.

"I'm terrified." Rapunzel confessed.

"Why?"

"I've been looking out a window for 18 years, dreaming about what it might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it's not everything that I dreamed it would be?"

"It will be."

"And what if it is? What do I do then?"

"Well that's the good part, I guess. You get to go find a new dream."

Rapunzel chuckles softly as she resumes her gazing.

Inside the castle, Queen Arianna was getting King Frederic ready for today. As she fixed his clothing, she looks up and saw the depressed look on his face. A tear escaped his eye as he wished both of his daughters were with them. First, his first born daughter is gone and now (Y/n) went missing too. Feeling his pain, she wipes away his tear and held his face with both her hands. He smiles softly as he held her hand gently.

They made their way outside and was ready to lift up the lantern. They stopped for a moment and looked at the right. On this special day, (Y/n) would be at their side and lift the lantern with them, but sadly she isn't. So, without further a due, the king and queen lift up the lantern up to the sky. One by one lots of lanterns began to light up and ready to be lifted up to the sky.

Back in the water, Eugene held out some flowers for Rapunzel, so they can be placed in the water. As she continues to place each flower in the water, she noticed something in the reflection of the water. She quickly gets up, rocking the boat and gazes the lanterns.

Rapunzel: All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here blinking in the starlight
Now I'm here suddenly I see
Standing here it's all so clear
I'm where I'm meant to be
And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you

More lanterns were being lifted to the sky as Rapunzel continues to gaze at them.

Back at the docks; (Y/n), Brielle, and Maximus stared in awe at the lanterns surrounding them. (Y/n) smiles fondly as if she could feel her sister's presence. She felt something tugging at her cloak. She looks and saw that Brielle and Maximus had a lantern for each of them. She happily takes one. "Thanks, guys." Together they lifted their lanterns into the sky to join the rest.

As Rapunzel looks at the sky, she looks back at Eugene and saw that he had two lanterns with him. She smiles at him and takes her seat.

"I have something for you, too." Rapunzel pulls out the satchel. "I should have given it to you before, but I was just scared. The thing is, I'm not scared anymore. You know what I mean?" Eugene puts the satchel down. "I'm starting to."

They both lifted their lanterns up high

Eugene: All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she's here shining in the starlight
Now she's here suddenly I know
If she's here it's crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go

Eugene begins to stare lovingly at Rapunzel as she continues to stare fondly at the lanterns. Rapunzel spotted a lantern coming closer to them and lifts it high back to the sky. Unconsciously, Eugene takes her hand and they both begin to sing together.

Both: And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is different
Now that I see you
Now that I see you

They continued to sing togethers as they come closer and closer. Pascal turns pink and closes his eyes, but he takes a small peek. They conclude their song as they lean in for a kiss, but it didn't happened when Eugene saw something. In the distance, the Stabbingtons were stalking them from afar and they walked away.

"Is everything okay?" Rapunzel asked as she tries to see what Eugene was looking at.

"Huh? Oh yes." He chuckles nervously. "Yes, of course. I just..." Eugene begins to row back to shore. He pulls the boat closer to the shore, so it wouldn't drift away. "I'm sorry. Everything is fine. There's just something I have to take care of." Eugene spoke as he grabs the satchel.

"Okay." Rapunzel smiled. "I'll be right back." Eugene walks away. Pascal gave out a worried squeak. "It's all right, Pascal." Rapunzel ensured.
