Just in a week, the news that there's now a boyband spread across the school like wildfire. Everyone cheered BTS, even though they didn't even know who was in the band. But of course, Jessica wouldn't let go of the opportunity to be the person who is 'close' with them. She tailed the boys everywhere and they were too polite to tell her to mind her own business. However, that didn't stop Naeun and Jina from barking at her.
"Helloooooo," Jessica cooed and appeared out of nowhere, making everyone jump.
"No one needs you here. You can go," Naeun said, her face red with hatred.
"Awwwwwww that's sad. No one needs me here," she replied and made a sad face. "But I need them," she added with a smirk.
"They're busy. They can't go with anyone," Jina replied.
"Oh yes they can," Jessica said and walked up to BTS, who were trying to escape without being noticed. "Omg, you guys are so talented! Can you teach me music?" she asked in her girliest voice.
"Uhhhhhhh," Jungkook hesitated.
"We would, but we have a lot of assignments," Yoongi replied.
"I'm not talking about afterschool. Let's practice at recess and lunch," Jessica said.
"We like spending our break time eating and chilling" Namjoon replied.
"Without strangers like you," Jina added, not bothering to keep her voice down.
"What about before school?" Jessica asked again.
"We like waking up late and if ever do wake up early, we like to keep our mornings free of annoying people like you," Naeun replied.
"No one asked what you do every day," Jessica said.
"She wasn't talking about herself. She was talking about everyone," Jungkook snapped at Jessica, finally losing his temper. All traces of the shy boy from earlier were gone. His mouth was pressed in a thin line and his stare was intense enough to burn a hole in the ground.
"But Kook, I-"
"I'm sorry, but do I know you well?" he asked her.
"Huh?" Jessica asked.
"Are we close?" he repeated the question.
"Um...I think that we are kind of close?" she replied.
"Oh? Really? What's my birthday?" he asked her.
"Y-You never mentioned it," Jessica replied.
"Okay then, you should at least know this if we are "kind of" close. What's my last name?"
"Uh. Um...Isn't it...L-L-Lee?" she stuttered.
"No, my last name isn't Lee. Since we don't know each other well-"
"We should get to know each other better," Jessica interrupted.
"Since we don't know each other well, you should stop calling me nicknames and stay away from us since none of us wants to see you," Jungkook snapped and walked away, leaving the rest to gawk at his sudden change of behaviour.
"What has gotten into him?" Naeun whispered to her brother.
"No idea," he whispered back, flabbergasted. He had never witnessed Jungkook like this.
"Jungkook ah! Wait up!" Jimin said in Korean and took off behind Jungkook. Curious, Naeun took off behind Jimin.
"Jimin ssi! I'll come with you," Naeun said and they started looking for him together.
"Aish why does this kid walk so quickly," Jimin moaned after running around the whole school. "He usually sits at his favourite place when he is upset about something. Did he ever mention a favourite place in this school?" Jimin asked Naeun. Did he? They barely talked in the past few days.
"We barely talked," Naeun replied and Jimin murmured something about progress.
"Let's go back Naeun. He won't go anywhere after school," Jimin replied. That's when Naeun's light bulb lit up. After school. Two days ago. Everyone was chilling on the oval* while Jungkook walked up to the corner Naeun liked the most. It gave a perfect view of the beautiful flower garden and the ginormous patch of grass. Was it his favourite spot as well?
"I-I think I know where he is," Naeun replied and ran to her favourite spot, leaving Jimin yelling at her to slow down. Sure enough, Jungkook was there. He sat on the soft, untouched grass patch where no one went, stroking the tiger lilies that were in full bloom with his fingers.
"You okay?" Naeun asked as she sat down beside him.
"I'm fine," he mumbled without looking at her. They sat there without talking, staring at the beautiful flowers.
"Don't be bothered about Jessica. She's kind of- no, she's REALLY crazy. Just snap at her, like you did today," Naeun said. "I'm happy for you," she added with an afterthought.
"Thanks," Jungkook replied with a smile.
"Larkspurs look so pretty next to tiger lilies. It's a nice contrast," Naeun said, stroking the larkspurs.
"Yes, it is. In fact, tiger lily is my birth flower," Jungkook said.
"Woah, really? My birth flower is larkspur!" Naeun exclaimed.
"Um, Naeun?" Jungkook asked and she looked up. "I'm sorry about last time. I didn't mean to do it. I guess I was too tired and I fell asleep," Jungkook apologised and a pang of guilt hit Naeun.
"I'm sorry too. It's my fault as well and I shouldn't have overreacted to it," Naeun replied.
"So, friends?" Jungkook held out his hand.
"Forever Together," Naeun smiled and shook his hand.
Oval*: A huge patch of grass used to play sports in schools.
A/N: Okay, yes, I admit it. I abandoned this book for a while *gasps*. I have a (kind of) valid reason though. But seriously, if you got through this book till here, I applaud you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I will probably edit this book to remove the traces of my trashy writing from last year so stay tuned for the edited version.

My kind of valid reason is basically me writing a new book 😂😂😂. And I swear, my new book isn't anywhere near as trashy as this. Plus, it's a whole new genre so PLEASE check it out.
