Chapter 6

Lisa keeps trashing her bed as she remember the man she was with eight hours ago, the smirk and amusement in his eyes when she told him that reckless reply and the way they battle their eyes away, she just can't help but to toss and turn.

Still awake an hour away before midnight strikes, she gave up on her attempt to sleep, reach her now fully recharged phone and listen to her usual playlist, Kehlani's Honey playing on her earpods as she checked her inbox.

She got 121 messages, 24 from her mother that composed of  'call us when you land', 'take care'and all that advises on how to do things as if she had never lived alone for the past two years, seriously her mother could be paranoid sometimes. She replied with a simple 'Safely landed yesterday, was a little bit jet lagged I forgot to text you back, Don't worry about me mom I'm perfectly fine'.

She cackled when she read Jennie's chat, her multi-millionaire friend who keeps talking about a certain guy she met a few days ago in Paris, in which according to her she regretted not kissing him or let alone know his name. Basically she know nothing about him except he's called Kai. 

She's about to reply when Jennie's name suddenly flashed on screen, she wonder what it will be about knowing that they haven't ring each other that much unless it's something urgent, like fashion ideas or like boys.

"You wouldn't believe what I will tell you" was the first sentence Jennie said, sounding anxious .

"Spill" was all she said, you can't blame her she's just too bored to show some enthusiasm.

"Remember the Kai guy I met in Le bar I told you ?" hearing her reply she can't help but to chuckle at her friend's antics.

"I had a hunch it's about him, go on"

"His name is Kim Jongin" 

"Talk about coincidence, isn't your brother-by-paper's also called Kim Jongin?, I guess it's a common name- oh wait unless..."

The line suddenly went silent.

"Oh my god are you serious Jennie?" She can't help but to burst into laugh, she kinda feel bad for her but at the same time it was just hilarious, like out of all the people she would took an interest upon,  it was her own effing brother.

"Yah would you stop laughing" her small friend whined at the other line

"okay okay hold on" 

She took a deep  breathe and immediately calmed herself to avoid further annoying Jennie. You see, her friend has a habit of whining when she isn't at her best emotional state and knowing it's already past midnight, she won't have it, now that she is desperate to have a decent sleep.

"How did you find out?" she finally asked

She heard a faint pop which sounded like opening tub of something.

"Yah Jennie, are you seriously eating ice cream, at this time? Are you depress or something?" she joked as she arch her body to sit, laying her upper body to the headboard.

She was so sure her friend is going through stress eating in which she always do, Jennie knew it won't take a toll on her body unlike her she would undergo into intense exercise once her agency knew she ate that much, it's a bit of annoying sometimes.

"Did you just forget I am home, it's basically 5 in the afternoon here" she basically could see her friend roll her eyes by the sound of her voice.

"Did you just forget how your rich ass have a lot of house all over the world and you never told me where exactly? I'm not a psychic babe" she argued

"Oh shut it, I need a listener right now, not a banter partner"

"Call Chae then"

"She's on tour"

"Unnie Jisoo"

"Cannot be reached"

"How about--"

"You're my last resort okay, so now listen"

"Do you realize it's exactly one am here and I'm talking to you forsaking my own sleep and you would just tell me I'm the last in the list? I'm a bit hurt" she feigned sulking.

"You're such a drama queen Lisa"

"I asked you how did you find out, like a minute ago and you didn't answer"

"can't help it you're picking on my eating habits again"

"You should've just thank me I care about you"

"Hush now Lisa, quit being such a sap" she heard her chuckle

"Then tell me about it, time is running"

"Okay so I told you I was just home like literally three hours ago, I was so pre-occupied by all these fashion commitments which I'll be doing this week-"

"And kai"

"Unfortunately yes he's in the back of my mind-"

"Correction main agenda" Lisa teased

"You should just make interrupting your career since you're really good at it"

"Well I have many talents thank you, now go on"

Jennie told her how she saw Kai at their own table a few hours ago discussing business to her father, how he brought up her name as if he knew her all his life, and she told her how dead ass stupid she had been acting towards him after the encounter. 

"So how are you feeling, I mean is it that bad?" 

"The fact that I've been thirsting over him for a few days now, Yes I feel terrible" 

"Aww that's okaay Jen, let's just be thankful you didn't fuck him"

"LALISA!"

"I'm hanging up, love you"
