Chapter 7

The droplets on the exterior glass wall was starting to freeze again as it's been past sunrise, the aroma of his newly brewed coffee filled his senses, even though it's cold outside the hot liquid seems enough to warm him up.

'It is indeed an unexpected silent Thursday' he sighed, wondering what he will do for the next few hours as it's clear it would not be a busy day for the cafe. On normal days he would be happy to spend less time working, but clearly he wanted to be preoccupied as possible to avoid thinking of a certain woman, though if he would be honest nothing has been normal since he met Lisa.

It's been days since last saw the blonde hair beauty, spending three consecutive days on duty, he was surely dreading the time he'll be able to see her again as he silently hoped she would remember him or that she would just pass by.

"ah, It's a pity don't you think?" he was startled at his Baekhyun hyung's sudden entrance. He just gave him a shrug, crossed his arms and legs as he fully leaned on the cafe couch. Meanwhile Baekhyun who is getting used to the snob slash unbothered pretense of the younger man, has started singing a familiar song which was oddly enough to rill up the grumpy kid.

"Shut up hyung" he said as he rolled his eyes after looking at the teasing man in disbelief, He thought he was being incredulous as usual.

The shorter man paused for a second, cleared his throat, Sehun almost thank the heavens-
"ooh what a shame what a rainy ending given to a perfect daaay...🎶🎵"
-glad he did not, instead Baekhyun raised his decibels, surely getting into the younger man's nerves first thing in the morning.

"Just what are you doing here hyung?" He said shushing the ashed-haired friend. Baekhyun who just managed to sit on the couch opposite to where he was, just motioned his hand towards his creamed coffee looking at him mockingly as if it wasn't obvious enough.

"You never came here during weekdays, that is" he stated as a matter of fact, sipping his now warm drink.

"You never work here for straight days either, now what's gotten into you?" Baekhyun responded.

"Just a minor change in lifestyle... I guess" the older man was quite taken aback at his reply. Sehun who is actually outgoing, who likes to party just like any of the blokes out there, who would rather spend his time at a bar around town than going to work, was the same guy who wanted to flip his manner of living right now. Baekhyun noticed the dramatic changes but to hear him admit to it was downright surprising, surely he never approved of him sleeping around anyway, but all of it was just so sudden he was not sure if it's a good thing.

"There's a party at Zack's later" Baekhyun blurted out, testing the waters.

"I'm gonna pass on that"

"Jade is asking for you" Hearing the woman's name right now sounds less promising than what it sounds like a week ago, he used to like her so much he was willing to fuck up his no commitment rule that he made up in his head.

"Tell her I don't give a shit anymore, she can shag whoever she wants" Seeing Baekhyun choking with his coffee, he can't help but to show disdain, the liquid running through the man's nose was not pleasant to watch at all.

"Man, You have to tell me what's going on" his friend replied after recovering.

"Let's just say that I underwent some serious shit growing up overnight"

"Our boy Sehun was fucked thoroughly that's it " Junmyeon interfered, reaching the counter to make his own cup.

"How many times would I have to tell you that didn't happen" he replied shooting glare daggers to the fair man.
