Chapter 11

Delilah
Edgar pulled in front of the beach. I got out and so did Edgar.

Edgar gave me his hand, I looked up at him, smiled and took it. We walked into the beach and the place was decorated beautifully.

The beach was quite it seemed like no one was there and I was confused so I looked up at Edgar and he smiled and explained.

"I booked the whole beach for us to be alone"

I smiled softly it was so beautiful, the place was decorated beautifully with fairy lights and flowers.

"It looks beautiful" I said attracting Edgar's attention.

"I wanted to make it special, for everything I did and said before, to apologize I'm really sorry" Edgar said looking into my eyes.

"Edgar it alright we both got off on the wrong foot, you don't have to apologize, I also said a lot of things I'm sorry for"

"Bu-"

I cut him off"no if's or buts, the past is in the past, let it go, besides we're friends now so there's no need to apologize"

I placed my hand on his cheek and and he leaned his face in"alright angel"

I blushed at the nickname.

"Now you did not just bring me here to stand so show me the surprise"

Edgar chuckled and pulled out a piece of cloth from his jeans pocket and blindfolded me.

"What are you doing? Are you trying to kidnap me?"

He chuckled and replied"I don't have to kidnap you because you will always be here"

I smiled at that.

Edgar started leading me somewhere. We had walked for minute and Edgar stopped, and I felt him untying the blindfold.

When the blindfold finally came off I was shocked, there was a picnic set that was decorated with fairy lights and flowers and it was positioned under the moonlight.

"Like it?" Edgar asked attracting my attention.

"Its beautiful"

"I'm glad you like it, now let's go eat"

Edgar gave me his hand and I took it, we walked to the picnic set and sat down.

Edgar opened the picnic basket and handed me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then he poured me some apple juice.

We were eating in comfortable silence, I started thinking how Edgar went through all this effort just to make this date special.

I didn't realise I had stopped eating and was just looking into space and smiling.

"What are you smiling at?" Edgar asked bringing me back to reality.

"Hm?"

"You were just staring into space and smiling"

"Oh umm sorry just got lost in thought"

Edgar chuckled and shook his head, I just smiled softly at him.

We had just finished eating and Edgar checked the time.

"Its 10:48 so we have time so wanna go for a walk around the beach?" Edgar asked.

"Sure why not?"

We got up and started walking.

"Its a beautiful night right?"

"Yeah it is, its really nice, I'm glad you did this for me"

"I'm glad you liked it, I was worried you wouldn't like it"

"Of course I like it, it's really beautiful and nice"

Edgar just smiled at my words and kept walking. We had walked for about 10 minutes when Edgar said.

"Delilah look a shooting star make a wish"

I turned my head to see the shooting star. I closed my eyes and made a wish.

I'm just gonna keep my wish to myself else it won't come true.

"What did you wish for?"Edgar asked

"Hm?"

"What did you wish for?"

"I'm not telling if I tell you it won't come true"

He chuckled and said"so you believe in that?"

"Well you believe in shooting stars"

That shut him up and I smiled triumphantly.

Suddenly I remembered"wait what's the time?"

"Oh umm, its already 11:53"

"Oh no Edgar if I'm late home my father will ground me for life"

"Don't worry I'll take you home and you'll make it in time OK? So don't worry"

"Alright let's go"

We walked to the car and got in, Edgar started the car and drove out of the beach.

Edgar was driving quickly so that I wouldn't be late home.

It only took Edgar 5 minutes and he had reached my house, I was relived.

"See? I promised you that it would be fine"

I smiled"yeah thanks"

"No need to thank me, you should get going, I'll see you tomorrow at school?"

"Yeah see you"

He gave me a kiss on my head and I got out, I waved him bye and he waited for me to go inside before leaving.

When I entered the living room I saw my mum sitting on the couch and bing watching her favorite movie Maco Mermaids.

"Hi mum" I walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey darling how did the date go?"

"It went well it was really it was really special"

I think saying that got my mums attention cause she instantly gave me all, I never really took interest in guys so my mum and I never got to talk about those kind of things.

"Tell me everything, I want to know what happened"

"But mum its late and I have school tomorrow"

"Ugh fine you can tell me tomorrow after school alright?"

"Alright mum"

"Good now go to bed, your dad already came home he's asleep so don't bother him"

"OK mum, goodnight"

"Goodnight baby"she gave me a kiss and went back to watching her movie.

I got up and went up the stairs, when I got to my room I took a hot bath, put on my PJ's and went straight to bed, tomorrow I had to face Anna.
