Forty minutes later I found myself sat in my living room, ensconced within a large pile of cushions with a large tray of snacks in front of me. Evie was sat quietly to my left, lazily munching on a packet of crisps. We had decided to watch Titanic, which we admittedly could have acted in, having watched it almost a billion times before.
"This movie is so boring." Evie moaned, letting out an exaggerated sigh.
"That's only because we've seen it so many times before." I insisted, giving her a gentle kick. She just grunted, finishing off the remainder of her crisp before discarding them carelessly to the side.
"You better clean that up later," I warned, eyeing her up before returning my attention the TV screen.
Evie was right, this movie was boring.
My mum had gone out to visit our aunt for the night, leaving only myself, Evie and the boys in the house. I couldn't quite understand why she had chosen tonight of all nights to visit family, aware she would be leaving a large group of teenagers in her house. Luckily, the boys hadn't pulled anything yet, but I knew they would.
That's just who they were.
"Can we go see them?" Evie questioned, almost as if reading my mind. I gave her a confused look, grabbing a large handful of salted popcorn before cramming it into my mouth.
"Why?"
"I don't know," she mumbled, her cheeks flushing slightly pink "I kind of just want to see Calum."
"Honestly, Evie." I sighed, slowly shaking my head "That boy's bad news, believe me."
"I know, I just wish I could, Ugh! Get what I mean?"
I nodded when secretly I didn't have a clue. A boy had never made me feel so flustered I had wanted to 'Ugh!'. I had only ever had small crushes, which for some reason really irritated me. I craved the experience of heartbreak, just like every other teenage girl, but instead, I got shitty crushes which only lasted about a week.
It was frustrating.
"We can go see them if you want?" I suggested reluctantly, watching her face light up with excitement.
"Are you sure?"
I nodded, trying my best to appear supportive. The last thing I wanted to do was go see those boys, but if it made her happy. I followed Evie as she leapt up from her space in the cushions, running up the stairs to stand outside Luke's room, pacing excitedly. I wish I could feel as pleased about this as she did, but I physically couldn't.
They were dicks.
"Here we go." I sighed, gently grabbing Luke's handle before pushing it open, walking in to find the four boy's sprawled out across the floor, giggling happily to one another.
"Luke?" I frowned, taking a cautious step forward. The blonde-haired boy slowly looked up, his eyes glazed over with a goofy smile across his face.
He looked completely stoned.
"Hey, Pandorarara!" He exclaimed, repeating the end a couple more times than he should.
I knelt down beside him and pushed him onto his back, causing him to giggle hysterically. The boys beside him giggled too, glancing from me to Evie, who remained stood awkwardly in the doorframe.
"Who is she?" Michael mumbled, causing her ears to burn a painful shade of red.
"How much have you guys had to drink?" I asked sternly, completely ignoring Michael's question.
