Gerard's POV

I can hear everyone behind me but I need to get home before my parents scream at me again. I slowly start crying more and more, I scream to myself "You can't make it home on time. Why are you trying. You need to move faster. Take a deep breathe, you're going to make yourself pass out. Don't stop, you need to get home."

Then all of sudden I feel my legs get weak then fall to the ground, I say "You were so close to the highway, you fucking idiot." I try to stand up but I just fall over again, I can't stay here, so I start crawling up the on-ramp.

It feels like I've been crawling forever but I know I have to get home. I finally feel like I need to run, so I get up and start running as fast as I could. I finally am close to the off-ramp to my house.

As I run I feel really dizzy and I wake up in a hospital, I look around and a nurse says "You're up."

I say "Please get me out of here."

The nurse says "Do you know where you are?"

I say "Please get me home."

The nurse says "Sir, you need to calm down. Tell me what happened."

I say "Take me home, take me home, take me home please, please just take me home, i need to get home."

The nurse says "What's your name?"

I start crying and say "Take me home, I just really need to get home."

The nurse says "If you answer my questions, I'll get you discharged. Okay, what is your name and home address?"

I say "My name's G-Gerard and my house is 9612 Cinder Ash Drive."

The nurse says "What's your last name Gerard?"

I say "When, can I go now?"

The nurse says "If you answer the next 5 questions, I'll get the doctor to discharge you. How did you end up on the side of the run?"

I say "I was running home from my friends house."

The nurse says "What's your friends name?"

I say "Hayley Williams, her mom is Lizzi Williams"

The nurse says "Do you know what day it is?"

I say "Its September 4th."

The nurse says "Okay, how old are you and your date of birth?"

I say "April 9th, 2004 and I'm 14 years old."

The nurse says "Okay, last thing your parents phone number?"

I say "No."

The nurse says "You're not a legal adult so, your parent or guardian has to come get you and discharge you"

I say "Please don't call my parents."

The nurse says "Well, you'll have to be here until you tell us their number." I sit there and the nurse walks towards the door and I say "Excuse me, what time is it?"

She says "like almost 9."

I say "Also is it still the 4th."

She says "No, it's 9pm on the 5th."

I say "When did I come in here and who found me?"

She says "You came in around 10pm last night, it was this guy he didn't give us a name but he did say that you were on the side of the highway."

I say "Why was I out there so long?"

She says "Your body was extremely dehydrated and extremely fatigued, other then that you were mostly fine."

I say "What do you mean mostly fine?"

She says "You might want to ask the doctor about that one." She walks out the door and I sit in bed thinking about why she wouldn't tell me what happened. I just start at the wall and a doctor says "Gerard, hello. I'm doctor Biersack."

I say "I was wondering if you could get me out of here."

Dr. Biersack says "No, your parents will have to get you."

I say "The nurse says I was mostly fine?"

Dr. Biersack says "Your heart rate dropped, your breathing was at 75%, which would've killed you and your head was bleeding profusely. Your blood pressure was extremely elevated, it was 181/125."

I say "Well, how am I alive right now?"

Dr. Biersack says "The random stranger who called 911 and got you here."

I say "Where is all of my stuff?"

Dr. Biersack says "In that chair."

I say "Can I get up?"

Dr. Biersack says "No, because I need to run some tests."

I say "Okay, what's the first thing?"

Dr. Biersack says "Actually, where were you before you collapsed?"

I say "My friend Hayley's."

Dr. Biersack says "Can we speak to Hayley's parents if need be?"

I say "Sure, here's Hayley's number 'xxx-xxx-xxxx' She'll be able to talk to you." Dr. Biersack nods and walks out of the room, I'm really tired so I go back to bed again.
