Canada's p.o.v
"I'd be lying if I said i wasn't going to miss 'em." Ame commented while we were walking.
"Me too." Aussie agreed.
"You guys shouldn't of got so attached, you knew we had to leave sooner or later." I say to them.
"Why do we have to keep leaving though?" Aussie complained.
"Because we need to keep searching for happiness, and if dad does find us he won't be happy to see us in someone else's care." I reply.
"Oh phooey, I hope our old house catches on fire and he dies." Ame said.
"America!" I shout, surprised that he said that.
"What? I'm just saying." He replies a bit confused.
"And I guess we don't want to be a bother." Aussie said trying to reason with me.
"Precisely" I finally comment.
We continue walking, my shoulders rise and drop as I inhale the cold, sharp air. I look back and see my siblings shivering, you were able to see their breath in a form of white, puffy steam.
"Okay remember what Mr. Soviet said, down there we'll get to a city, city means shops, shops means food, okay?" I say pointing in a direction. I remember everything Mr. Soviet told me about around here in the car.
"Cities also mean naked men doin' the hokey pokey on the subway." Ame said making us all then turn around and stare at him. We all decided to ignore his odd comment. That was odd comment number 2 for the day.
We shouldn't have to walk much more because the city was pretty close by. Soon enough you could make out the tall skyscrapers. Getting closer you could hear the loud beeps of cars or talking from the people. Smoke produced from the factories nearby made everything foggy.
"Okay its super crowded down there, hold each others hands, I mean it!" I say tightly gripping Ame's hand so he wouldn't run away. Aussie grabbed New Zealand hand and I grabbed her other hand ready to walk in the street s of this crowded city.
From what I could remember everything was so big and bright, cars either past you or were stuck in a line of traffic. Dirt and dust was everywhere, smoke filled the noisy air. Rats ran past your feet as starving pigeons tried to steal your food. Billboards everywhere and people wouldn't stop pushing and shoving. One person was too busy to walk around us and went through our chain and pushed New Zealand and Aussie away, thankfully seconds later we were able to reconnect and continue. Some people were nice, others weren't. Ame kept smiling and waving to strangers who either returned it or ignored it. People were passing out flyers, everywhere. Aussie tried to take all of them but his arms were full of advertisements. And even New Zealand tried to take a sample of some kind of food off a tray from a restaurant worker, but I pulled her away in case it wasn't safe.
"Ei, onde estão seus pais? Não é seguro para você estaraqui sozinho (Hey, where are your parents? It isn't not safe for you to be here alone)." A man asked us but I had no idea what he was saying so I awkwardly walked past them.
"I know Ame is usually the one to complain about this but I'm hungry." Aussie said making Ame yell, 'hey!'
"Okay, let's find something then." I tell him and look around for a less crowded place. "Over there!" I point and drag the across the street. "Just through this alleyway!"
We walk through the dark alleyway only the sound of dripping water and rats. There was an eerie feeling.
"Ew ew ew! I walked through a spider web!" Ame screamed jumping up and down while Aussie laughed.
