Taeyeon drops the shopping bag in her hand onto the carpeted floor after slamming the door behind her. She takes off the princess hat, tosses it, jumps onto the bed and closes her eyes while groaning.

The day started out well. They walked around, went on rides, took plenty of pictures and held hands everywhere they went. They even wore princess hats and fed each other snacks, like in those cheesy scenes in dramas she used to scoff at.

She has never experienced going on a trip with someone she's dating before and it was exciting and fun. There was no need for keeping a low profile and none of the affectionate gestures was forced or fake. Before she met Tiffany, the company she kept during trips outside the country—business trips or quick vacations—were women she met at local clubs or hotel bars. There was nothing meaningful about the time they spent together and it was mostly spent in her hotel suite anyway. Anything nice she did for them, she did it out of common courtesy or to keep them quiet about the encounter.

Fun and romantic times aside, there was another thing she never experienced before: arguing with her girlfriend at a public place.

Today she found out that Tiffany had a lot of energy, more than she expected even after the hikes, yoga classes and walks they had taken together. She understands that Tiffany desperately needed a change of scenery after the rough year-and-a-half she had and that she loves Disney very much—Taeyeon does too. But it was still very tough to keep up with her, especially since Tiffany stopped listening or paying attention to her and went crazy shopping from one souvenir shop to another.

In the end, after Tiffany refused to listen to her complaints, Taeyeon decided to just head back to the hotel and told Hojun to stay with Tiffany to keep an eye on her.

She slipped away without telling her girlfriend and returned to the hotel feeling tired, hungry and wronged because Tiffany wasn't considerate enough to at least do something that would be fun for the both of them.

Her phone has been ringing nonstop since she stepped onto the monorail that took her back to the hotel but she silenced the device, too pissed to talk to her girlfriend.

She's about to fall asleep when she hears the faint sound of the hotel suite door opening.

Taeyeon lifts her head, checks her phone and sees the last message Hojun sent her, timestamped less than a minute ago: "Dropped her off safely. I'll be in my room if you need me."

"Taeyeon?"

She hears the voice, sets the phone aside and pulls a pillow over her face, pretending to be asleep.

The bedroom door opens and she hears soft footsteps approaching, followed by the rustling of plastic and paper bags being placed somewhere.

The bed shakes a bit when Tiffany climbs on and Taeyeon senses her lying down next to her.

"Are you really asleep?" asks Tiffany softly. "Or are you just avoiding me?"

"..."

Sighing, Tiffany scoots closer, takes the pillow off Taeyeon's face then gently fixes the girl's hair. "I'm sorry, Taeyeon-ah. I got carried away," she says, fingers brushing Taeyeon's cheek. "It feels so good to be able to escape Seoul and put what happened behind me. Plus, it's Disney. You know how much I love Disney."

Taeyeon gives in and opens her eyes, furrowing her brows at the apologetic-looking woman. "I love Disney too but come on. Did you even listen to me? Did you realize how much time you spent at those crowded shops?! You didn't even know that I'd left until I was in the train!"

Tiffany snuggles close to Taeyeon and kisses her. "I'm sorry," she says. "I should've listened to you and paid attention to what you wanted to do too. It's just... it's been so long since I had so much freedom and fun and I just..." She sighs and nuzzles Taeyeon's neck. "I'm sorry, baby," she says in English.
