Taeyeon steps on the accelerator harder, making the car and the person in the passenger seat jump.

"Careful, Taeng..." says Sunny but her friend doesn't listen to a word she's saying.

The car swerves as Taeyeon turns the wheel harshly, curses and honks the horn irritably at everybody and everything that gets in her way.

She almost hits the car in front of her but luckily, she manages to step on the brake on time, pressing down on the pedal with all her might. Her car screeches to a halt merely inches away from the other vehicle's rear bumper.

Cursing, she bangs the steering wheel after the close call. "What the hell!"

"Seriously! Calm down, Taeng!" exclaims Sunny, fearing for their lives.

"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!" She turns and yells at her best friend. "I HAVE TO FIND HER!" Taeyeon lowers her voice after seeing Sunny's scared expression and sighs in desperation. "I have to find her. I'm sorry. I have to find her," she mumbles, clenching her fist while trying hard to hold her tears back.

Her best friend reaches out to console her but before the hand could touch her shoulder, Taeyeon sees the cars around them moving so she grabs the wheel again, stepping hard on the accelerator.

The passenger of the frantic driving can only sigh and hang on for dear life, praying that they'll get out of this alive.

They race all around town, going to places Tiffany often visits, but can't find her anywhere. And when night falls and traffic decreases, the sense of defeat and desperation begins to set on the small driver.

On their way back from the river, Taeyeon suddenly pulls over and bangs her head on the wheel, no longer holding her tears back. She lets them flow freely down her face and onto her lap as she sobs uncontrollably.

Sunny unbuckles her seat belt and shifts to hug her best friend, rubbing her back in a vain effort to console her.

Taeyeon's heart has shattered into a million tiny pieces and her head hurts. She feels empty, defeated, exhausted and sad. She isn't angry though. She knows why this happens, why Tiffany left. It won't change anything. She still loves her very much, too much even.

Maybe that's why she left. Maybe I've been too blinded with my own happiness, too selfish. All I wanted was to be with her. Maybe that suffocated her.

After letting it all out, she pushes her best friend away and wipes her tears with the back of her hand. "Let's just go back to the hotel," she says as she calmly shifts the gear and resumes driving.

When they reach the hotel, she steps out of the car and gives the keys to the valet. Her steps are shaky because she has almost no energy left, feeling drained and weak.

Sunny notices it and puts her arm around Taeyeon's shoulder. Immediately, Taeyeon leans on the other woman and sighs. "Thank you. Sorry I scared the life out of you."

"Don't worry about it. I survived, didn't I? It's the least I could do as your best friend and maid of honor," replies Sunny with a smile.

Taeyeon just nods, unable to return the smile.

They part ways at the lobby with Taeyeon going straight up to the bridal suite and Sunny going back to the ballroom to update the parents, guests and to do some damage control.

Hojun is there at the lobby, waiting for her but when he offers his help, Taeyeon dismisses him and tells him that she needs to be alone.

She lets Sunny handle the parents and guests because she doesn't want to deal with the pitiful stares and endless questions. She needs time to process everything, to wallow in her sorrows. And tomorrow she'll go out and search again until she finds her.
