Since quora is most sought after place to ask questions and actually get answered, I too went on there and discovered just the article I was looking for. Somebody had asked the question I have earlier and here are the answers given by various people :

Ans 1 -

There are various signs regarding the incarnation of lord kalki. Most of them are illustrated in various perspective for example if you want to predict in terms of nature then it is like Land will become barren, less fertile, famines, exploitation of resources, river Ganga will go abode meaning Ganga may dry up, in terms of human nature it is like people with bad intention and moral looseness will rise in the power and Samaritan will live in jungle etc. Regarding human figure , it is like people with small physic will eat lot, women will prefer to cut their hair (the length of their hair will be proportional to peak of kaliyuga i.e. less hair on women head more severe (ghor) is kaliyuga.

Even God Krishna has himself told Rukmani at some place (while taking her for marriage) that he will incarnate in that place in Kaliyuga.

Now the question arises when he will born and how much times is left. I have read many times that the age of Kaliyuga is around 432000 years. That is a long time. But kaliyuga has some interesting story of coming late. As we know that the yuga repeats in cycle of four (satyuga, treta, dwaper, kaliyuga). In the present cycle of yugas. Before the start there was prophecy from the sky that first to come will be satiyuga, tretha , kaliyuga and dwapar. But Rishi durvasha (the son of ansooya mata) who is known for his anger and whimsical nature said that order will be satiyuga, tretha, dwapar and kaliyuga and no one could challenge the rishi because of his furirous nature. That why kaliyuga came last.

But it is also not necessary that kaliyuga will complete 432000 years. In this case if kaliyuga have come first as told earlier it would have taken nearly given above time to complete. Now it is not case this time because the things which we have to discover during the journey of 432000 years are getting withing gaps of 100 years. Think of past 300 years what we have got and discovered like atom, hydrogen bomb, gps navigation, of course latest black hole image, semiconductors chips and many more, sometimes don't you feel that how it is possible. It is possible because age of kaliyuga is accelerating and good point is that we got everything new on a new day. But bad thing about accelerating is that Faraday never enjoyed his invention to the fullest, steve jobs never used facial recognition to unlock his phone, in this age what person invents never enjoy that other enjoys that. And we are using the energy much at faster the race to invent and take advantages of these inventions at fullest. Means the energy conserved for 432000 years or kaliyuga we are using that much(energy) earlier than required. Take this equation dimentionally. E=ML^2T^-2 . E= energy and T = time. E inversely propotional to T square. Means more energy used less time available. For ordinary man it is like if you run at speed of bolt you will be able to run 200 meters with same energy. But for long runners they would slow and use same energy for a larger distance and long time.

Therefore kaliyuga is dying at much faster pace than told.

Basically he doesn't believe that there are 4,27,000 years still left. It might be true but he hasnt revealed the source thus making me doubt his answer.

Ans 2-

Hindu scriptures says in ca 400k years, which is wrong, there are much shorter cycles. Besides it's specifically stated that he will appear when:

ganges dries up (which it does in summer times because of a dam)when women speaks bitterly (which feminists does)when there are great sin (various media will bring pictures of half naked celebs, many uses internet for porn)

Ans 3-

Kalki is a real person. He will restore the Arya Dharma.

He will not come when he is most wanted, he will come when he is most needed.

Going by all signs I think he will emerge into full public view and power by 2023 since that is when he will be needed the most since it would be the advent of the .

Kalki and the predicted Nostradamus are the same person that much I am sure of.

I think these answers demonstrate the confusion looming over this subject matter. There are several articles which claim that Kalki has taken birth and has grown up and is now waiting for the right time to strike. I however, doubt it because where are these conclusions being derived from, nobody knows. And what is unknown creates doubt. 

However I found one answer which convinced me a little, have a look : 

Next to 'Bhavishya Purana', Kalagnanam (Kalagyana or Kalajnana, literally meaning knowledge of time) of Sri Potuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy is a prophecy known for its accuracy and detailed description of events. Kalagnanam was written in Telugu Language on palm leaves. Sri Veera Brahmendra Swamy's prophecies and ballads are in the oral tradition being sung by wandering minstrels.

Many of the events of Kalagnanam including the advent of british rule in India, freedom movement led by Mahatma Gandhi, first and second world wars, monarchy being replaced by democracy, ruling of Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, P. V. Narasimha Rao and cinema actors, widow remarriages, invention of automobiles and hydro-electric power, religious conversions, terrorist attacks, communal riots, Bhopal gas tragedy, many of the earthquakes, cyclones and droughts, villages turning into cities, education becoming a business, increase in lust, greed and laziness etc. Some of his predictions are yet to happen, which are mostly calamities indicating the end of kaliyuga. He has also foretold about the third world war, Bangladesh and Nellore getting submerged, meteor showers and many more catastrophic incidents.

Sri Veera Brahmendra Swamy wrote in his Kalagnanam that he was incarnation of Lord Vishnu and would come again as Lord Kalki/Lord Veera Bhoga Vasantha Raaya to restore dharma and peace on the earth. The arrival of Kalki has been interpreted from the Kalagnanam, considering 3104 B.C. as the beginning of Kali yuga.

Kalki was born in the year 1965–66. He will start his campaign in his thirty-second year (1996-97) and roam the earth for twenty years (until 2016-17). In the sky a star would be seen as huge as a mountain. That is the star of 'Yuga Parivartana' (Change of Yuga). Many people would sight that star since its birth and would die. During such a time in order to protect the good people and to punish the evil people, Kalki would come as Sri Veera Bhoga Vasantaraya. In the year 2026-27, Kalki would gain some boons from Lord Mallikarjuna and would go to Vindhya Mountains to visit some 'Rishis' (saints). After accumulating the required boons and blessings, then finally he would be called as 'Kalki'. Kalki Purana states that Kalki would marry Padmavati from the region called, 'Simhala'. He will get married in the year 2044–45, and will rule the earth from 2072–73. Many calamities happen during this period causing mass annihilation.

Some people are thinking that Kali yuga lasts for 4,32,000 years. So, I just wanted to add a few more points in support of my answer.
Religious: One half of yuga cycle (Krita/Satya yuga + Treta yuga + Dwapara yuga + Kali yuga) was mentioned in Mahabharata and Manusmriti to be of 12,000 years. There was a common belief that the age of yuga changes subsequently as 4800, 3600, 2400 and 1200 years. Several scholars interpreted the exact dates of events based on their knowledge. Aryabhata inflated the figure by multiplying it with 360. One divine year is estimated to be of 360 human years, so he calculated Kali yuga as 1200*360 = 4,32,000 years. This is the figure most people refer to when they talk about Kali yuga and not the original one mentioned in Mahabharata.
Scientific: Global warming is the most serious problem to the world in recent times. The sea level rise will result in many islands and coastal areas getting submerged. The groundwater is expected to disappear within 2050. Also the rivers are drying up. So, there will be a serious water crisis in the coming years. The fuel reserves won't last long and we're consuming the available resources at an increased rate. The population is increasing at a fast pace, that the available resources are not adequate for everyone. Many hunger deaths are happening around the world. So, we can't expect the world to sustain millions of years without adequate natural resources.

I don't know how much I'm convinced about someone claiming to be Kalki but the time reference part makes me think. What do you say?
