Antheia was happy to let Snufkin lead the way to wherever he was going. They walked in silence, but this time, it was a comfortable silence. Antheia let her mind wander and she wasn't feeling half as anxious as she usually was. She just daydreamed and thought about some recipe she was craving. This didn't usually happen when she was around other people. She usually fretted about what they thought of her and whether they were happy or annoyed, but... not here, suddenly.

She had no idea whether it was the tranquility of the forest, as the evening creeped by and animals were travelling back home, or if it was her company. Snufkin looked so peaceful and at home with himself that the emotion might have been spreading to Antheia. Maybe it was both, but either way Antheia felt amazing. She soaked in the environment around her, breathing in the fresh air as the chill of night climbed through the trees as the sun got lower. It was whimsical.

"Have you been avoiding me?" Antheia asked, stirring the peace. She didn't want to ruin the moment, but she was no longer scared to ask. The simplicity of the moment helped her let go of her worries. Snufkin was quiet for a long time. He had stopped his walking, and was looking Antheia directly in the eyes. Getting a little more nervous as each moment of silence passed, Antheia tensed, but maintained the eye contact.

"Yes," he finally said.

There was another long silence between the two. "Um, why...?" Antheia asked, holding her arms close to her chest. Snufkin exhaled quietly.

"No one has moved into Moomin Valley for a long time. It's not something I'm used to." Antheia was a little confused, but she felt like she was starting to figure him out a little. He wasnt a talker, and not in a bad way- he just didnt see a need for it. He preferred the silence and wasn't used to big conversations. Antheia wasnt used to the lack of words when people hung out with her, but she very much enjoyed it and was starting to get used to it. She didnt ask for any further clarification, she just smiled and sat down in the grass. It was cool to the touch and she ran her fingers through it. Snufkin laid down beside her and shut his eyes. His breaths were long and slow. Antheia admired him, watching his chest rise and fall.

"Thanks," she whispered. Snufkin didnt respond, but she knew he heard. Antheia also laid down, but instead of shutting her eyes, she watched the stars twinkle, the branches gently bob up and down in the breeze, and the insects that occasionally flew by. She felt herself dirfting off to sleep and used an arm as a pillow. She had no clue that Snufkin had just barely opened his eyes, and was gazing at her, smiling. The world was quiet around them, and they were happy.
