I couldn't leave it all like this... I just couldn't let Angie be a slave of the Student Council anymore...

I picked up my phone. It showed 8:52p.m., so it was nearly nighttime...

I searched through contacts, and found the "Best Friend Forever 🖌💛" one. At first I hesitated, but I clicked the "Call" button, and there was no going back...

Some time passed and the phone was still ringing. I thought I'd never hear her again, but suddenly...

"Hey there!" It was Angie's voice for sure. I sighed out of relief. She sounded such cheerful and sweet...

Until...

"This is Angie Yonaga's voice mail, so leave your mail after the beep! Nyahahaha!" After this short message, the phone made a 'beep' sound, but I didn't say anything and just pressed the "Decline" button...

I wanted to cry. The school kept her busy enough to make her unable to answer the phone...

I threw it onto the pillow next to me. I forgot to say, I was laying on my bed at that time...

Something wasn't right with me. I was so worried about Angie, but, that's just because she's my best friend, right...?

I sighed and picked up my phone again...

I search through the contacts, and picked the "Akamatsu🎼🎹" one. I clicked the "Call" button, without hesitating this time...

Kaede needed to pick up her phone quickly, because several seconds later I could hear her voice...

"Hey Shirogane! Why are you calling?" Kaede said. The question she asked was clear to me, but I knew she already knew why was I calling her...

"I wanted to ask if Yonaga is okay" I said. After our talk from before I wasn't able to think about anything or anyone than Angie... "She didn't answer my call 5 minutes ago"

"Ah, you know that she's busy with art, so she just goes to sleep early" She responded. I remember her saying that Angie was drawing and painting all day and all night... But,, never-mind that...

"Oh alright, I was just worried..." I said. I tried to sound cheerfully, but I knew I wasn't cheerful at all "That's all I wanted to hear from you..."

"Wait, if you really care about Yonaga so much, maybe you'd want to see her tomorrow after lessons?" Wait, really? Did Kaede just invite me to her dorm? I know, it's a good opportunity, but... "She's pretty alone there in her room. I tried talking to her but she locks her door almost every time"

Yes, she did that in our dorm too. I know that her surname starts with "Yo" and mine starts with "Tsu", but the school putted Angie under my responsibility, because she... needed special care...

"That'd be very good for her, so I need to accept your offer" I said, maybe too seriously, but I couldn't wait to see Angie's face...

"Is 3:00 p.m. okay with you?" Kaede asked. I sat on my bed and looked at my schedule...

"Yes, of course" I said, but this time I was truly cheered up...

"Okay, then. See you tomorrow!" Kaede said. I was smiling, and I couldn't even breathe...

"Bye!" I said quickly, disconnecting. Tomorrow was going to be the best day since the beginning of this school year...
