"We have some questions for you." Edward told the twins.

"Ask and we might answer." Viktor said.

"Might?" Rosalie asked

"Depends on the question." Natalia answered.

"I'll start. Can you tell us a bit about yourselves?" Carlisle asked.

"Well, we were born in 1894 in Stalingrad. Our father left the royal family two years before we were born and met our mother. They kept us a secret from the Czar our whole lives." Viktor started.

"Why?" Alice asked. "Wasn't he family?"

"No." Natalia said with distaste. "He was a tyrant."

"Power can do that to people." Jasper said.

"What were your parents names?" Bella asked them.

"Sergei and Anastasia. They gave a lot just to take care of us." Natalia answered.

"They sound like good people." Esme told them.

"They were." Natalia softly said.

Bella leaned forward, intrigued. "What happened to them?" she asked.

Viktor sighed and said "We don't know how, but our house caught fire. There was an open window and our parents just threw us out. They were about to jump out too, but the building exploded before they could." He looked down slightly near the end.

"We're sorry for your loss." Carlisle told them. They both nodded.

Natalia continued. "Three days later, some strange people found us, saying they could help us. But they were untrustworthy. In the end, they just took us."

Jasper asked them "Where did they take you?"

"To an academy, if that's what you want to call it." Viktor said.

"What do you mean?" Carlisle asked.

"It was called the Red Room. It was a program for the KGB that trained people to kill without fear or hesitation. Everyone there started at a young age." Natalia told them. A few gasps were heard. "How old were you?" Esme asked. "Eight." That shocked everyone.

"So you have killed?" Jacob asked them.

Viktor looked at him. "Not willingly, but yes."
