It was raining, and I just got out of school
since I've just finished revising
some paperwork to be sent
to the school directress next week.

Since I had no jacket nor umbrella with me,
I stayed at the school shed.

As cliché as this sounds,
you suddenly came in the scene
running towards the shed to avoid the rain.

You were wearing your favorite dark blue jacket.

I smiled to myself,
remembering all the times
you looked cute wearing it.

To be honest,
you never wore that jacket again
ever since you and Tzuyu started dating.

We stood there,
side-by-side in unbearable silence.
None of us dared to speak.
And it was better that way.

For an ample amount of time,
I found a sense of home
amidst the awkward silence
commencing in between us.

Actually, it wasn't awkward at all. It felt rather . . . comfy.

Just the sound of the rain
and some motorcycles and cars passing by.
No conversations, just . . . silence.

We were back to being strangers.

It pained me a bit, though I didn't really want to admit it.

"Ain't leaving yet?"  you asked me.

I shook my head, trying my to run my eyes elsewhere.

"No," I simply answered.

"Why?" you asked.

"Waiting for Bambam. He's going to pick me up."

"Oh," you subtly replied.

After that, we were back to becoming silent.

I bit my bottom lip, hoping that I won't regret
trying to engage a conversation with you.

"You? Why don't you leave yet?"
I asked, for the sake of not making things awkward.

You didn't answer right away,
making me bite my bottom lip once again
under embarrassment.

I glanced at your direction, and quickly looked away,
thinking that you might mistake me for looking at you.

"Got no umbrella," you subtly answered,
and I heard you rummaging from your backpack.

Weird, though.

In the quick amount of time that I glanced
at your direction . . .

I swore I saw a foldable umbrella in your hand.
