It was close to midnight,
and being the irresponsible student I am,
I was cramming over a project
dued tomorrow — err, later.

Being the student assembly president,
and being a part of almost
every organisation at school,
I had a lot of responsibilities stacking up.

Which is not good at all.

Sometimes, I wonder why
I'm still a part of the honours list.

My parents were asleep,
the neighborhood was quiet.

Good.

I can focus on my project.

But all of the sudden,
my phone started to ring.
Oh, wow. Jeon Jungkook is calling me.

I didn't answer you, and missed your call.
My phone dinged, so I assumed that
you sent me a message.

'Busy?'

I replied just so you can stop pestering me.
'Yes. With a project.'

'Want me to help you?'
My brows scrunched at this.

'Aren't you at the party?'

'Not anymore,'
Wait, what?
'Look at your window, sparky.'

My heart started to beat faster.
You couldn't be there, could you?
My parents will kill me!

Nervousness struck through me
as I shakily opened my window.
I peeked if you were there.
However, my teeth started to grit
upon seeing no one at all!

'Wow, you actually looked.'

What? How did he know?

'I was hiding by your plants, sparky.
You said your parents were strict.
They wouldn't like seeing a boy
talk to you or visit you at midnight.'

Well, guess sparky's got some brains.

What did I call him, now?

'Oh, haha.' I coldly replied.

'Do you want to see me, sparky?'

'No. Go home.'

'It was oddly boring at the party.
I never get bored at a party,
just so you know.'

'Ok.'

'Wanna have a drink with me?'

I should be doing my project!
What is happening to me?

'Thought you know about my parents strict?'

Just then, you called me.
It took me a few seconds of contemplation
before I decided to answer.

"You don't need to come down,"
You immediately told me.

"And how do you suppose
I'll have a drink with you?"

You chuckled. "Can you peek
at your window first, sparky?"

And so, being completely
out of my mind, I did.

There, I finally saw you.
You looked up at me, smiling,
holding an unfamiliar brand of
beer on your hand.

"Grab whatever you can drink.
Whatever you're allowed and
comfortable to drink, that is."

"And why should I obey you?"

"Cause I won't leave unless you do?"

Groaning at this stubbornness,
I grabbed the chocolate milk
I kept besides my study table
and went back to my window.

"Happy?"

"Cheers,"
You rose your can of liquor up.

"Cheers."

And we drank together.
