Knockout Round: Michael Baeza versus Enoch Jones
"These two evenly matched. They are synchronized! Hopefully they don't do any synchronized swimming. Enoch fell on Spin Cycle in his first race. Michael made it through. Seems to be struggling with it this time, though. Gets the first transition just before Enoch. Oh my!" Michael glanced over at Enoch just as he let go, causing him to miss the basket with one hand. "Almost goes down! That's the second one-handed save today! Enoch reaches for the last basket, but comes up short. Still hanging in there, though. Michael gets the dismount! Enoch's going to get his first buzzer, but it's Michael who moves on to the final showdown."
Knockout Round: Zac Holman versus Kody Hazan
"Kody is the better climber. He takes the lead on the Devil Steps. But he has not made it up the Warped Wall. Zac has. And Zac is catching up! Even on the second shelf. Flawless dismount. Can he get the Wall? One hand! And he's up!"
Final Showdowns
Paxton Myler versus Michael Baeza
"Paxton's sister did not advance to the semifinals. Will he be able to succeed where she failed?
"But Michael is the one pulling away on the I-Beam. Remember, Paxton came from behind to defeat Enoch Jones.
"Michael reaches Spin Cycle, getting a full-obstacle lead. Paxton fell here in the knockout round and Michael almost went down. No, don't look back! That's how you almost fell in the last race!
"Paxton reaches Spin Cycle, but both of them are really struggling. Michael got here first, so if both of them go down, he will get the win.
"Paxton gets the first transition, but Michael maintains a basket lead. Ooh, awkward dismount, barely kept his balance there." Paxton, seeing victory slipping away, tried to go for the dismount and splashed down for the second time that day.
Ashton Myler versus Aleksander Flores
"Aleksander is skipping pegs, but it's not increasing his speed. He is really struggling! Ashton is pulling away. Aleksander needs to get moving. Sprinting across the Floating Tiles. A stumble! He's still going! He doesn't realize he was just eliminated!" When Aleksander finished the Floating Tiles, he accidentally stepped on the support cable. "Ashton misses his first attempt. Look at Aleksander celebrating, he thinks he's won. Let's go down to Laurie Hernandez, who's waiting to tell him the bad news".
Laurie- "Aleksander, you made a great save on the Floating Tiles. Unfortunately, as you were getting up, you stepped on the support cable, and that means that you lost the race".
Zac Holman versus Abby McGuire
"We have a rematch in the thirteen- and fourteen-year-olds between Zac Holman and Abby McGuire. Zac won their first race, but he struggled with the Warped Wall in the knockout round. Abby made it up on her first try.
"So strong on the Devil Steps. Zac gets the first transition just a swing before Abby." Zac gets the dismount first, runs up the Warped Wall, and............... comes up short. Abby dismounts. They go up at the same time. Zac barely grabs the top and can't pull himself up fast enough.
Semifinalists
Michael Baeza (upset)
Ashton Myler (upset)
Abby McGuire (upset)
A/N: One Myler goes down, another takes his place! I actually had a lot to say about this episode. All three of the semifinalists changed. But Ashton's problems with the Warped Wall aren't solved, and Michael has a habit of getting distracted on Spin Cycle. How will they fare in the semifinals?
Poll: Which obstacle is better, Rope Jungle or Giant Walk the Plank?
