TW- SUICIDE

Richie rolled his eyes, walking over to the park bench in the mostly empty park. There he is. Now or never, Tozier.

After Beverly's blatant disregard for Eddie's emotions, Richie went looking for him, (it wasn't really looking he goes to the same place every time) and saw him at the park.

His legs were swinging back and forth as he sat, staring at the ground. His hands were in his lap and he was, sniffing? Fuck, fuck! Eddie's crying.

"Eddie..." Richie started, now standing in front of him, "I- oh shit."

Eddie didn't lift his head, nor did he even respond to Richie's voice.

Rain started falling.

"Eddie, please! Just answer me!"

Eddie finally looked up, "Do you regret it?"

Richie sat next to him, taking his hand, "Part of me does."

"What do you mean by that?" Eddie sniffled.

"I know... I know you don't like me like that, but I feel like it wasn't a mistake."

Eddie shook his head, "That whole night was a mistake. I'm sorry, Rich."

"Eddie don't-"

Eddie's eyes swelled with tears again, "But it's all my fault! You'd you- You'd be old and happy right now if it weren't for me!"

Richie looked at Eddie, not even listening to a word he was saying anymore. He just stared.

"Eddie, shut the fuck up."

Eddie's head swooshed to the side, his eyes wide. Richie had a trashmouth, but never disregarded his feelings while he was crying, but Eddie realized he wasn't disregarding anything. The look Richie gave him was far too intense for that.

"Rich- I-"

Richie surged forward, pressing their lips together. It seemed perfect in the moment, the rain falling around them, the darkness of the street, the way the rain masked the way Eddie had been crying, almost perfectly.

Richie's wing's sprouted from his back, creating a makeshift umbrella that shielded them from the rain. Eddie's head buzzed with a warmth he knew nothing of until this very moment, it started as a simple head rush, but evolved into the whole park spinning. He didn't hate it, and that- that scared him more than anything.

He didn't even hate how Richie's braces felt, something he'd always worried about. Yes, he'd worried about kissing.

Richie suddenly jerked away, "Fuck! Fuck! I'm sorry, Eddie! I- I shouldn't have done that. Shit."

Richie looked like he'd just been stabbed in he heart. His pupils were extremely dilated and his breathing was ragged.

It all came back to him, all of it. That night, the worst night of his life.
