Okay... what the fuck did I just say?

He looked at me, eyebrows raised and his eyes shocked. I felt my face morph into a regretful expression before I slapped my hand over my mouth as I felt my face grow red.

"I-I uh... I didn't uh... f-fuck sorry. That was really um..-"
"Cute?"

I stared at him confused.

"What?"

He looked at me and stuck his arm up, gently placing it on my messy hair and smiled. Not like before though, this one was calmer and less cheerful but still happy.

He opened his mouth preparing to say something before we heard something crash on the floor rather loudly. The sound of something like a plate breaking upon the impact of a floor echoed throughout the entire house before everything went eerily silent.

Aaron's face was now a grossly serious expression unlike the more welcoming and much preferable one he had a mere second before. His vibrant eyes searched the hall we were in although obviously not finding anything because he sighed and ruffled my hair, messing it up even more.

"That sounded like the kitchen." He noted, "I suppose we should check it out?"

I nodded in agreement to go with him. I wasn't tired enough to fall back asleep and there was nothing else to do besides the option he gave me. Honestly, with all of the events that have happened so far in this house, I wouldn't be too surprised if someone's already died here.

He headed down the stairs turning back to see if I was coming as I hadn't moved. My mind decided to preoccupy me as I drifted off into my own world by accident. He looking at me questioningly and my legs finally decided to start to move.

We started to head down the stairs... the stairs that dad threw me down... I shook my head, wanting to forget all of the memories already. I never wanted to see that man again. He wasn't my father. Fathers don't come hunting their kids down to kill them, nor do they force them out of the house because of their sexual orientation.

We had made it all the way to the kitchen to see through the doorway Lucas, Brendon, and Colin standing there a mixture of confusion and awe in their faces. London was sitting at the table reading a book. Colin looked most caught in whatever was happening as he was smiling and practically cooing at the event happening before them.

As we approached closer into the kitchen, two figures swayed back and forth, one noticeably taller than the other.

The two figures standing there were hugging like there was no tomorrow, the larger one who I could vaguely identify as Reed as his head was buried deep into the other's neck. The boy he was hugging was one I've never seen before, but he did look rather similar to the features of Reed.

I looked back to Aaron to see what he was going to do, but he merely joined the others in a state of awe at them only... less expressional.

I turned back to the two to see them finally part, Reed obviously wanting to go back in for a longer hug as his face held a small pout. The smaller boy looked disheveled since he had previously been squashed to Reed but had a smile nonetheless.

The two of them finally seemed to take notice in us standing near the doorway. The boy that I didn't know smiled brightly while Reed just quietly sulked like a child. Honestly, this was the most relaxed he had seemed since I've met him.

The boy basically sparkled with beauty, he had small freckles and light brown hair that looked very similar to Reeds. He was significantly shorter though and was definitely much nicer than Reed so far.

"Hi! I'm Anthony, Reeds younger brother as you could probably already tell. I made breakfast so we should all eat before it gets cold." He jogged to me and stuck his hand out for a shake.

I also stuck mine out to grab his but he suddenly shoved my arms up and hugged me.

"Just kidding! Did you really think I do that old man shit? Shaking hands and all, ew." He laughed.

The hug took me by surprise and the force made me stumble backwards in surprise. He didn't seem to mind as he simply looked at me and smiled. I hadn't had time to process the hug before he pulled away and went to converse with Aaron.

Reed stared at me from across the kitchen with the slightest glare only it wasn't exactly unnerving then headed over to the really appetizing looking food on the counter however he didn't grab one but two plates, then handed one to me, full of food.

I looked at him questioningly as he proceeded to sit down at the table where the others started to join each other, sitting in their respective seats. He went to sit down leaving me there rather confused.

Aaron was still talking to Anthony about something that didn't concern me so I shrugged off the odd friendliness of Reed and sat next to him where I had sat previously.

The others, all lost in their own conversations, had almost finished their food as I sat there almost completely lost in my world again, unfortunately not the world I preferred to be in. Still shaken up from the thoughts this morning, this world was a bit more dark and cloudy, it polluted my brain with the poisonous thoughts. The voice that lingered around started to leave trails of voices throughout my head. I felt a frown tug at my lips as I stared at my food.

Noticing that not only had Aaron and Anthony joined the table, but also that everyone had basically finished their food and I was the only one left with a full plate made me feel even worse. It didn't help that the food looked really good and maybe the thoughts would pass before someone noticed and I could eat.

Only, nothing seemed to work well with me anymore.

Aaron's eyes met with mine as a few people started to excuse themselves from the table, mostly leaving in groups of 2. I looked down at my food fully aware that he hadn't taken his gaze away from me, really only adding onto the feeling of dread filling my stomach.

I want to see mom.

Hellooooo, hope everyone's doing well during this weird pandemic stay safe out there.
