I walk out of the bathroom with Brads shirt on. It looks funny because my school uniform is a button up shirt and a long skirt that goes just above my knees. Let's just say this grey shirt doesn't go with my skirt, but that's okay; because it's Brads. I'm surprised to see him still waiting at the table for me. He looks up and smiles, I smile back.

"Nice outfit," he jokes.

I laugh, "you're so funny."

"Your meal came, hopefully you're still a fan of coffee," he smirks.

"I will always be a fan of coffee," I say taking a sit opposite to him.

"So what brings you here?" He asks.

"A hungry stomach," he laughs at my pathetic attempt of a joke. "Nah, I'm picking my friend up. How about you?"

"My mate James and I took a trip to London, it was fun."

"Where is he now?"

"Gift shops," he smiles.

"Oh I see."

"Yeah James and I are trying to get a band going."

"That's exciting, is it just you and him?"

"For now, we've come in contact with a guy in Devon named Tristan, we've met him a couple of times."

"That's so cool. I really wish you luck with your band."

"Thanks." Brad laughs.

Something about him I just can't wrap my mind around; he seems, different. In a good way. I'm not sure how long we were talking for, but he made me feel special. Like he actually cared about what I had to say.

My phone vibrates in my pocket.

"Oh my god Abbey."

"Abbey?" Brad asks.

"Abbeys my friend I'm picking up."

"Is everything okay?"

"One second." I say to Brad and he nods. I quickly accept Abbeys call.

"Hello? Abbey I'm so sorry don't worry I'm here, I'll go over to your gate now."

"It's been 20 minutes, I thought you weren't going to show up." She jokes. The good thing about Abbey is she takes nothing seriously.

"As if I'd do that," I say laughing, "I'll see you in a second." I hang up and look back to Brad. I'm disappointed that my time with him is now over.

"Everything's okay, I just forgot to go wait at her boarding gate," I say laughing a little.

"Sorry about that."

"Don't be sorry." I say grabbing my purse off the table, "I had fun."

As if it were on cue a tall boy walks over to us, this must be James.
"Ready to go Br-" he turns and makes eye contact with me. "And who is this?" He says smirking at Brad.

"That would be Cara." He replies.

"Oh so this is the famous Cara who you spilt your coffee over."

"That's the one," I say with a sarcastic grin.

"Brad I told you that's not how you pick up girls," he jokes and Brad quickly looks at me.

I feel my cheeks heat up, I really hope they don't notice. It's silent for a moment.

"Sorry guys didn't mean to kill the moment," James speaks up.

I give a nervous laugh, "it's fine, I really have to be going now though. Abbey will be wondering where I am. It was nice meeting you both." I say but mainly looking at Brad.

"Hey Cara?" Brad says raising a hand.

"Yeah?"

"You're from Birmingham right?"

"Sure am," I say. James gets the hint of where this is probably going and walks away and sits at a table a bit farther away.

"Well we should see each other again." He says quietly, I can tell he's nervous.

"I'd like that," I say smiling, probably blushing like an idiot but hey, what can ya do?

We exchange phone numbers and say our goodbyes. I hope this was all worth something, will I ever meet this boy again? I have no idea. But I hope I do. I walk off quickly in the direction where Abbey would be waiting.

I see Abbey sitting on a chair looking down at her phone. I quickly walk up behind her and put my hands over her eyes.

"Guess who?" I say mysteriously.

"Not Cara, Cara doesn't come pick her friends up at airports." She says sarcastically.

"Shut up I have a reason." I say letting go of her face and racing around so I'm in front of her. She jumps up and gives me the biggest hug ever. I missed her so much.

"Caaaaraaaa I missed youuuu," she says grasping for breath as I squeeze the life out of her.

"Tell me about it!" I say letting go of her.

"I'm actually so glad to be back, I missed home a lot," she says grabbing the handle to her suitcase, I grab her other one.

"And I am so glad you're back als-"

"Cara shut up."

"Pardon?" I reply confused, as we start walking to leave.

"What the hell are you wearing?" She says, acting disappointed in my new fashion style.

"Oh this?" I look down at Brads shirt, "this would be the reason why I was late."

"Are you telling me you were late because you went shopping for that horrible shirt?" She jokes.

"Not quite, I'll explain it to you all later. Right now all I want to hear about is your trip." I say smiling at her.

"Righteo, prepare your ears for my story telling time."
