I redid this chapter because I didn't like how it was.
PLEASE READ: I know it seems like everything is happening really fast but I wanted that to happen because it will make more sense in further chapters. I know that no one would give in that easily but I wanted to show her past life and thought this was the best way. I'll give a run down on the characters next chapter. Comment your thoughts and ideas.
Warning: Hints of rape and abuse but not detailed(I'll mention another warning at that part so you can skip it if you want) I may give more details in another chapter but this is to give a slight understanding of her life. It will make more sense when you read it
This is a bit longer then the other chapters
(not edited)
I focused back on my family and realized they were all waiting for an answer. What did they expect me to say? I wasn't going to say I don't regret it but I didn't want to tell them about it either. I couldn't lie to them but I had to say something. I was stuck in a tight spot, "I...I...Uh what do you want me to say? Look I know my choices weren't the best and I'm trying to stop okay! It's just hard but I am doing better."
Before they could protest, the owners of the restaurant came to have a friendly chat. Saved by the bell. "Oh my god! Is that little Alya I see? And the quads! You're all back! My have you guys grown. Especially little Little Alya Scott, last time I saw you, you were barely 4 feet! Logan! I see you've grown some muscles, you must have all the ladies over you! Amelia! Your fashion sense is just as stunning if not more so! Lauren, finally wearing something other than a soccer jersey? College sure changed you, last time I saw you wear a dress was when you were Caden's age! And Noah, finally grew taller than your sister? And you seemed to have grown strong too!" Aunty Mary said as she hugged each one of us. She was always the joyful one in the couple and always went around being social. Uncle Tom was more of an introverted person and opted to say hi to each of us with a firm handshake instead.
While Aunty Mary went around giving us a hug Landon, Grayson, Alex, Lucas, and Liam were dying of laughter since they didn't have to go threw it but we did. Our family comes here often so Aunt Mary didn't miss them much since she saw them almost every week. After saying hi, mom and dad went to chat with them leaving me with my siblings. I knew that they planned on talking to me about my anorexia but everything I said was the truth. I was doing better and I did love myself again- well most of the time. The problem was that they didn't understand that. Them acting so overprotective kinda angered me. Now after everything already happened, they start caring. I tried to forget everything but its hard, I mean where were they when I was bullied so much that I left to Maine on the other side of the country? Where were they when I almost gave up on life the first year at my boarding school? Where were they when they turned me anorexic? The only person who was there to stop me from starving myself other than my friends was Noah but not even a month after he left he stopped caring. The only reason I'm here today loving myself is because of my friends in Maine. I mean sure my family probably cares for me and we have those moments where everyone is happy but to think about it, they never cared enough to stop people from saying I didn't belong in this family. They never once told that everyone was wrong and I did belong. They didn't stand up to me when ever they saw me getting bullied. They pretended they never saw.
Shaking myself out of my thoughts I simply said, "We should go," and quickly left before they could stop me. Of course they followed me but they didn't say anything, at least for the time being and after saying bye to Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom we went home.
*At their house*
When we reached home, mom took Caden upstairs to put him to sleep, and Dad and Mason went upstairs (I'm not sure why but its probable because dad didn't want him her when shit goes down). We wanted Lilliana, Lucas, and Liam to go upstairs too but they were stubborn on staying here. We all just stared at each other daring someone to speak but to my surprise it was Grayson who finally spoke, "Look I know that you are trying to stop and that you know its wrong but could you at least tell us why you did that?"
