Prologue
I breathed in and out. This was it. My second suicide attempt, and this time it would work.
No more stupid sleeping pills that caused my parents to try and save me. This time, this time I was going to jump. Jump off a bridge into an inevitable doom. It was the most reliable and instant option. I sucked in a shaky breath, this was it. My parents didn't have to deal with me, the fake arse bitches I called friends didn't have to deal with me. The world didn't have to deal with me.
I took a step up to the edge, flash backs from my life haunted me. I had to stop it. 'Now,' I whispered to myself.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," chuckled a voice from behind me, making me jump and almost loose balance. I turned around carefully, trying to look at the stranger. The dim light barely showed his features, from what I could see he had shaggy hair and an arm full of tattoos.
"Who are you?" I whispered, stepping away from the edge, "and why are you trying to stop me?"
He chuckled, making me smile for the first time in ages. I didn't know him, I couldn't see him, but his laugh was a beautiful sound. "I was in the same position as you a few months ago. I hated life, I was having constant fights with my mum and brothers, my friends left me. All I had was my fans online, but that wasn't enough to save me. I stood in your position, ready to end it all but then an old lady stopped me. She reminded me of all there is to life, she saved me. I found out she died a couple of weeks ago and that she had save so many peoples lives. I want her legacy to live on. I want to do what she did for me. You're worth it, even if it seems like no one cares remember that I care."
Silence was in the air, every bad thought came to my head, but with it good thoughts came too.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"My name? Luke Brooks."
