Namjoon's POV

Dammit, I almost had him.

It's been almost a month since I escaped prison and ever since then, I've been watching Seokjin and the boys every single day. It wasn't hard to find him, he was stupid enough to stay in the same town and just moved to a different house, how foolish of him.

It took exactly twelve years to figure out how to escape, I was not going to die in that shithole. I had to gain a lot of trust from many inmates and a few security guards in order to find a way to escape this place. It took so long because some inmates would either change their mind, go home early, get themselves killed, or kill themselves. It was to the point where I just had to do most of the work by myself and that's what I did.

Once I was back in town, I had to stay hidden, no one could ever see my face. I only had two hundred dollars and couldn't buy on a hotel, so I figured out where Seokjin lived and came up with a plan. It wasn't the best plan, but I had to do what I had to do.

I broke into the house of an elderly couple, tied them up, and put them in the basement. I check on them every once in a while, just to make sure they weren't dead, and maybe I give them food every once or twice a day, but that's only if I remember.

I chose to kidnap Jungkook because he was so young when they put me in prison, he wouldn't remember me at all. But now, I had to think of another plan, since kidnapping him was a completely fail.

For the past few days, I've tried to find the opportunity to get Jungkook while he was alone, but ever since the kidnapping attempt, Jungkook hasn't been alone. Either the twins would wait for him after football practice and walk home with him, or Seokjin would pick him up if the twins had something to do after school. Even when Seokjin wasn't at home, Jungkook would never be left at home alone.

I was getting impatient and my final plan needed to happen before the police figure out where I am. I couldn't wait around until Jungkook was alone, who knows how long it'll take for everyone to let their guard down.

I was running out of time, so it was time to do a more straightforward approach.

Seokjin's POV

"Mom, can I go over my friend's house?" Jimin asked.

"No."

"But why? It's been a week, the kidnapper would've kidnapped us by now if he really wanted us." He said, getting upset.

"Jimin, I'm not going to say it again, the answer is no. Until we get a call back from the police that the neighborhood is safe, no one is going anywhere."

"But Yoongi still gets to go to college."

"Just like I let the rest of you go to school."

"This isn't fair, mom!" He said, crossing his arms and stomping his foot, just like he did when he was little.

"You're kidding, right? You're pouting like a five year old, as if that's going to change my mind?"

"Maybe."

"Well it didn't, now go upstairs and clean your side of the bedroom, it looks like a complete mess." I said, going back to reading my book on the couch.

Jimin let out a frustrated sigh and stomped out of the living room.

I sighed as well and went back to reading my book, trying to relax my mind. The boys weren't the only ones that wanted to leave the house, I did too, but I would rather stay safe in the house than risk going outside and this kidnapper does more than kidnap one of us.

Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door, I looked at the time and saw that it was almost 5pm. I furrowed my eyebrows, not knowing who that could be. Minhyuk rarely dropped by unannounced, He always called me before coming over, so I had no idea who it could be.

I got up and went over to the front door, opening it and seeing a police officer that I've never seen before.

"Oh umm, hello, can I help you?" He asked him. He looked at the police officer and saw that he looked somewhat familiar, but didn't think nothing of it.

"Yes, I'm officer Lee, I was sent here by officer Jung to come here and tell you that the neighborhood is safe, you and your family can go back to living your life, no need to worry anymore.

I nodded slowly, still trying to fingers out who this person was. He had sunglasses on, so I couldn't see his eyes, and he had a mustache, so it couldn't possibly be...him. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, Namjoon is miles and miles away from here, there's no way he could be here, especially since it's only been twelve years, he had at least forty-three years left before he could be released out of prison.

"Okay umm, thanks officer Lee, I appreciate it." I said before starting to close the door.

"No problem, I'll see you around." He said before turning to leave.

I furrowed my eyebrows at his words, a bit confused.

I'll see you around? What did he mean by that?

I shut the door completely, locking it and went to make myself some coffee. As much as I tried to think of any good excuse as to why he said that, I couldn't think of any and the more I thought about it, the more it freaked me out.
