"Lila Rossi is innocent and i can prove it!"
Out of nowhere the door was opened by none other than Lila's only other friend
Nathaniel
He was huffing and catching his breath
He comfosed himself and looked directly at the two
"Oh,really?Then how can you prove that she is innocent?"Mr Damocles got interested of the sudden interruption
Nathaniel looked seriously at Mr Damocles
"She didnt put any poison or medicine in the cupcake,the only problem was one ingredient"
"And that is?"
"The milk"
"How so?"
"Well,first of all.We've checked her ingredients and confirmed that the milk is infact gone bad.And to prove she didnt put anything else in the batter,she went over to her bag when she was all done with the batter so she couldn't possibly add something else when its already in the oven."
"So what if your theory is true??How does that not make her accountable in the incident?She is the one handling the process and ingredients"
"True but we are only students and we only use the things we get.The ingredient she got was not good and the school provides the things we use here.And when you look at it in that perspective,we can all tell whose fault is that."
Mr Damocles flinched
He couldn't deny the fact that the school has a fault in this
"You've got an impressive observing skills Mr Kurtzberg.Well since both are to blame in this incident then maybe we can....refrain with the expulsion.Lila Rossi you are free to go,but remember,this is just a warning.The next time you cause some trouble,dont expect for someone to save you again"he coughs and turns away
Lila and Nathaniel were relief that they succeeded.
They both got out of the office and they saw some fellow classmates watching from the outside

"Were really sorry for blaming you.I guess it was really an accident."
And so the others also apologized
"Its okay im at fault in here too.I shoulve paid more attention"
They all said what they wanted and went back to class
Lila then remembered the one who saved her
She turned around and Nathaniel was nervous
She smiled and pulled him into a hug
"Nathaniel thank you so much!I wouldnt know what id do without you!You totally saved me!"she thanked with her arms around him
"W-well what are friends for"
Lila froze at that word
Its been so long since she heard somebody else call her that
She lets go of him and looked at Nathaniel with a smile
"Yeah.Friends!"
