We finally arrived at Nathaniels place and well it wasnt so bad
It was a nice place but Marinettes house is much better and cozy
We got inside and luckily no one was around
We went upstairs and he led me to his room
"Sorry but my room is kinda messy,you can wait while i clean it up"
"Oh dont worry,i can help you clean up"
"W-what theirs no need for th-"
"Hush-lets just go inside.Im sure it cant be that mes-"
I opened the door and saw a room filled with art materials and papers scattered all around the room
The bed was also not spaired and had a bunch of notebooks and pencils in it
The table was a mess and the floor was even worse
What the hell?
Is he some kind of part time artist to have this kind of room?
How does he even live here?
"Im really sorry,i never have anyone her before,especially a girl and i always have arts that i havent finished and-"
"Its alright,i understand,it must be hard being an artist.I'll help you clean up dont worry"
"Oh um okay,thanks"
We started to clean up by picking up the papers
There were a lot of papers and the drawings in them are pretty good
We stacked them into a folder and i helped him organize them
Its not bad making a good impression right?
Maybe he can help in changing others opinion about me and Marinette will be so proud of me
As i was thinking about Marinette i saw a notebook with a few sketch that kinda looked like...Marinette?
I picked it up and flipped it through
I saw a bunch of drawings of Marinette in it
Woah and it has different angles and expressions
I was distracted by the drawings that i didnt noticed Nathaniel panicking
"Oh my god!!Not that one!I-i can explain!"
"Explain what?"
"Umm that.Im not a creep i swear!I just used to draw her a lot back then!A-and"
"They all look amazing!"
"Um,thanks"
"She's so beautiful isnt she?"
"Yeah"
"Wow you even draw her so great!Oh i like this one!"
Wow they all look so good
He obviously has a crush on her but he doesnt have a slightest chance on her
"So what exactly were you gonna do with this drawings?"
"Well i dont really know yet.I was planning to just hide them away and-"
"Can i keep them?"i asked with puppy eyes
"S-sure,if you really like them that much.But can you please keep it a secret that it came from me?"
"Sure,a deals a deal"
We both laughed and proceeded with the cleaning of his room
His room looked so much better cleaned but i cant say much about my room though
Maybe i'll do a clean up later
And so we started working on our report and i did my best to be extra nice to him
He was still a little nervous but he i did notice that he's slowly warming up to me
We finished a bit of the report cause it was really hard researching and puting all of it in a report and plus we had a lot of days before we present it
We cleaned up our new mess and rested a bit
We ate some snacks but Marinettes pastries was still better
Favoritism
It was quiet till i started a conversation
"Sooo,you like Marinette?"
"W-what?!"he was flustered
"The drawings tell it all Nath"
He sighed
"Well i guess you could say i liked her,but now i just dont know anymore."
"Why so?Everyone likes Marinette"
"Thats something from someone like you"
"Excuse me?"
"O-oh im sorry,i didnt mean it that way"
"I understand,everyone thinks im some kind of bitch who always lies anyway"
We were both quiet then
"To be honest,i dont even know what to think of you now"
"What?"
"Everyone says you're fake and mean.But changes when you're around Marinette.They even think you're harassing Marinette sometimes.And that you're always forcing her to be around you"
"How am i not surprised?"
"Do you ever wonder who you really are?"
"What?"
"That you've had a mask for so long you've forgotten who you really are inside"
Woah he can actually be pretty deep
Pretty edgy though
"I guess i understand that.I've been like this for so long that i've forgotten who i really am.But now that i've met Marinette,i found a purpose to change and maybe find out who i really am"
"She's really amazing isnt she?"
"Yeah,she can truly make a change,her kindness and strength are unbelievable,she sees all the good in everyone,even in someone like me"
We were silent again and then we laughed
"Wow to think i would relate to someone like you right?"
"Well i guess we admire the same person,things can change up a bit"
"Can i ask you a question?"
"Sure Nath"
"Do you really like Marinette as who she is or are you just using her?"
I was buffled at that question
Should i be honest?
"Well,since you seem pretty cool about things i guess it wouldnt harm being honest.The truth is my answer is both,but mostly the first one.I love the way she does her best for everyone she cares about and i feel so lucky that im one of them and i guess i also want to use her to piss off some hater,haha"
"I can tell by your voice you're telling the truth for once"
"Geez am i that not believable?"
"Haha,maybe"
We were having so much fun talking i didnt notice it was dark already
I said my farewell to Nathaniel and thanked him for everything
To think that someone else believed me for once
I left his house and immediately went home
I walked past Marinettes bakery and saw Adrien and Marinette having fun while eating some cookies and croissants
She seemed very happy with him
I can still sense a bit of blushness in her while their talking
I just chuckle and went home
I went into my room and rested at last
Why do i feel hurt when i see her being more happy with others than me?
