“ Part of me aches at the thought of her being so close yet so untouchable. ”
Nicholas Sparks.***
Tyler sat in his black Camaro outside a diner, he had asked Kyle for a favour. He begged him to help him meet with Kiya just once, he had said he wanted to apologize for what he had done to her in the past. At first Kyle had disagreed he had to really beg him for kyle to set up the chance, and he wasn't planning on ruining it.
He hated the fact that everybody thought he was obsessed with Kiya, he knew it wasn't obsession he had for her. He truly loved her but nobody believed him, if only Kiya had felt the same way for him he wouldn't have resulted to hurting her. They would have been happy now.
He didn't want any other guy to ever set his eyes on her, he wanted to be the only one to love her. He wanted to be the only one to look at her, he glanced down at his wrist watch growing impatient.
Kyle had promised him he would help, he hated it when people broke their promises. He pulled out his phone and dialed his friend's number, he picked up on the first ring.
“ what the fuck? You told me Kiya would be here, why I'm I not seeing any sign of her. You know how much I hate liars right? ” he growled at his friend.
Kyle gave a nervous laugh, all those years of being friends with Tyler but he still felt intimidated by him whenever he got mad. “ don't worry they will be there, Aimee told me she had invited them to have lunch with her at that place. Just be patient. ”
Tyler's eyes snapped up to look at the car that had just parked in front of him. He hang up the phone cutting Kyle's talk short, he looked at the two girls getting off the car. His eyes land on the dark skinned girl that had got off from the passenger's side.
The last time he had seen her she had been fifteen years old, but now she looked more mature. Her once short straight hair was now long and curly, her face looked more mature. Her curves were more visible now, although she wore baggy outfits. Tyler's eyes watched the girl closely, he got in every little detail of her.
He wanted to get out and walk up to her but thought better of it, he wanted to talk to her in private he didn't want anyone else to interfere.
Kiya looked over her shoulder as she walked towards the diner, she couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching her.
“ let's go. ” Phoebe pulled her friend along, they walked inside the almost empty diner.
Aimee was Phoebe's cousin who was in collage, she usually invited Phoebe and Kiya to have lunch with her whenever she was in town. She was close friends with Kyle and Tyler since they went to the same college, she was also the one who had introduced Kiya to Tyler.
Aimee waves over at the two girls that had walked in the diner, she sat at a table near the glass window. Kiya and Phoebe walked over to her and took their sits.
“ took you two long enough to get here, I almost thought you bailed on me. ” Aimee said pouting.
“ I had to convince my mom to let me come here, so Phoebe had to wait for me. ” Kiya said.
“ well good of you two to join me, I really missed your company. ”
“ please...all those hot college guys and you expect us to believe you even missed us. ” Phoebe rolled her eyes at her cousin.
