I smiled looking at Kyle and Aimee as they danced, they were horrible dancers but they didn't give up. Phoebe unlike me, she didn't hide her amusement as they danced she was laughing so hard next to me that she had to clutch her stomach.
Aimee had invited us to her house since she was back for the weekend and her parents had left her home alone. So called us over and we sat watching home alone, when Kyle walked in. They started talking about who was a better dancer between the two of them when Kyle decided to challenge her to a dance off, and me and Phoebe were the judges but so far no one was winning.
“ you two really know how to embarrass yourselves. ” a voice said.
I turned to find Tyler leaning on the doorway with a smirk on his face, his eyes land on me and winked. “ if it isn't little miss innocent. ” he said sitting on the couch opposite mine.
Phoebe's elbow made contact with my side and I yelped causing all eyes to fall on me. “ excuse us for a while please. ” Phoebe said dragging me along as she walked to the kitchen.
“ why do I feel like my best friend is hiding something from me, a crush to be precise. ” she said folding her hands on her chest giving me the look.
“ Phoebs! ” I groaned.
“ Tyler obviously has a thing for you. ” she said nudging me, I rolled my eyes at her “ the guy is in college for pit sake and I'm only fourteen, are you getting on to what I'm trying to tell you? ” I asked her getting frustrated. How did she get the idea of him liking me from just a small greeting.
“ you're such a bore, I wouldn't hesitate to date a college guy. ”
I look at her wide eyed and she rolled her eyes walking out of the kitchen, “ this girl is crazy. ” I muttered to myself walking back to the room.
My phone vibrated in the pocket of my jeans and I pull it out, it was my mom calling.
“ Kiya! Where are you? You need to come to the hospital, you're dad just got one of his seizures. ” my mom said once I had picked up the call. She tells me the name of the hospital and hangs up.
“ Phoebe! I've got to go, dad just admitted at the hospital. Sorry guys, I'll be going. ” I said already rushing to the door.
“ wait, I'll give you a ride. ” Tyler said coming with me outside, I agree and tell him the name of the hospital.

“ Kiya are you alright? ” Harry asked as he moved close to where she sat on the bench. He was just driving back home after searching around for his little sister when he spotted Kiya sitting on a bench by the side of the road, so he decided to talk to her.
Kiya rubbed her tears with the back of her hand not looking at Harry, he sighed and takes a sit next to her.
“ were you crying? ”
