Bucky x Reader

~Past

You were awoken form your extended sleep by screaming. Detaching cords from your body you move from the bed and gracefully walk over to the door. Pulling it open you curiously pop your head out.

"Hello?" You call out quietly looking around, your eyes wide open with fear. The colours on the walls had changed but at the time you took no notice, you didn't even notice that this was not your time. As far as you knew you only went to sleep as of last night, HYDRA has kept you in the cyro sleep for at least 30 years, you are their main weapon.

Your brain goes on sensory over drive as you continue down the hall towards the screaming. Your hands shake and you look around in a daze as you push open the doors leading to what now clearly sounds to be a man screaming.

"Machine, brain, pain." You whisper to yourself over and over again. Looking around you find the man screaming with three men around him in lab coats and a machine stuck to his head. As you stumble over to him you knock over equipment drawing the attention of the men in coats.

"We're going to need back up, project 7 woke up 30 years too early." You vaguely hear one say.

"One, nine, seven, two." You say and look between them as they start to approach you. Without thinking you go into attack mode, aiming high kicks to their faces while dodging blows from the others, and you grab a steel tray and swig it at their heads, effectively knocking them out cold.

"One, nine, seven, two." You start again, your voice growing louder in volume. Without even releasing it you had released the winter soldier with your mind.

You run over to machines with flashing lights and you start to pull them apart while screaming, "Must make the voices stop, they are everywhere." Something cold and warm grabs you around the waist and pulls you away form the machines.

"No," you protest your head moving from side to side and your arms reaching out as though you are reaching out for something, " Machine, brain, pain. Must make voices stop; one, nine, seven, two." You cry out, confused as to what's going on around you while trying to escape from your restraints. Somehow the winter soldier seemed to have noticed that you were mentally unstable.

"You're safe, with me." He whispered in your ear and you instantly calmed down, relaxed into his hold and fell asleep. Deep down the winter soldier recognized you from somewhere but he obviously couldn't remember. While the pair of you were being watched, HYDRA made the decision to keep you both together seeing as the only thing to calm you down was the winter soldier. But their ulterior motive was cruel, impeccably cruel.

As the years progressed the relationship you and the soldier grew and you were both preserved for 5 to 10 years at the same time. As HYDRA continued to wipe the soldiers memory you continued to wake up to his screaming, sending you into a crazed state.

HYDRA always made sure not to erase the new memories of you as they were planning for something big. Although you were getting better they planned for the soldier to wake up before you and send him on a mission to kill Captain America and you would effectively wake up, fulfill your mission and possibly discover that the soldier didn't remember you anymore. HYDRA was hoping that this carefully planned mission would enable you to enter your crazed state and lose control, attack and kill whoever you deemed necessary, and their main target to set you off would be the winter soldier.

You wake up with a slight scream shocking everyone around you. As you wildly look around a man you didn't recognize walks over to you.
