12. Where Do Broken Hearts Go?

Liam POV.

I woke up with on one side an empty feeling, and on the other the feeling I could thorw up any second. And I didn't even drink last night. I looked around and noticed I was in Lilly's room. That's when I remembered what had happened last night. How I screwed it up badly. I kissed another girl. Heck, I almost slept with her, thinking it was Lilly and that almost killed Lilly. I never knew she felt that way. I'm the worst boyfriend, not seeing how she really felt. But what hurts the most is the fact that she left to stay with Ansel. Out of all people it had to be him. Why didn't she just stay with Ed? I really don't trust that guy, especially not around her. But I need to keep in mind that he saved her life. Without him I'd have to live without her. I looked around again and this time my eyes locked on her mirror. I got up and looked at all the pictures around the frame. There were so many pictures of her with the girl and the guys, but also a lot with me. My eyes stayed on the picture of Little Lilly and her godparents and I felt a lump in my throath. She still had it. I looked at her desk and noticed a few pictures torn up to pieces and a letter with tear drops on it. I could still read it though. It was a letter from Michael and Lucy saying they were moving to The States again because they felt abandoned by Lilly. They were happy for her being back with us but still felt replaced. They didn't want to be friends anymore and they would drop off Jaimy and her stuff today. Poor Lilly, this was another thing that had torn her heart to shreds. I tore the letter to pieces and threw it across the room. I screamed in agony and anger towards myself. I broke the heart of a broken girl. How could I ever do that? I sat down on her bed and buried my face in my hands. Suddenly the door opened and someone walked in. "I knew I'd find you here." Zayn said as he sat next to me. "How are you feeling?" I looked up and straight ahead. "I screwed up didn't I?" "Yeah, you did." I sighed. "Did you know she felt that way?" I asked him and he shook his head. "Nobody knew, not even Alice. She and Niall are on their way because of this." Great, I ruined their honeymoon too. "I feel like the worst boyfriend in the world, not knowing she felt that way." Zayn put his hand on my back. "Don't forget she's an amazing actress. Actresses are known for hiding their feelings." I nodded, knowing he was right. "But still it doesn't feel right. And worst of all, she left with him. Out of all people, why did she have to meet him?!" I got up and walked to the window. "Why does that concern you so much?" Zayn asked, not having moved an inch. "Look at the door of her closet and tell me who are on there." I turned around as he looked. "Zac, We are, Little Mix, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Theo James, Demi, Cher, Ed, The Script, Jensen and Jared of Supernatural, Logan Lerman and..." That's when he realised there were multiple posters of Ansel there. "She told me that if we would ever break up again and she knew him, that she would definately go and try to win his heart. And Ansel told me last time that he's jealous of me because I was dating Lilly. Because he would want to date a girl like her any day. And now she's with him and I massively screwed up last night. Get it why I'm scared of losing her even more now? He's the only competition I ever feared because I know he can win her over any second. It's killing me Zayn. Knowing she's with him." I felt devastated. I never told anyone I was scared of losing her to Ansel, and heck, I never thought they would meet. "Maybe she tried to make you jealous, but don't forget he saved her life. And dude, don't cry. You'll get her back." I never realized the tears were streaming down my face until Zayn mentioned it. "Look, why would she ever want to get back with a guy who's crying over losing his girlfriend, scared of seeing her with another guy, after everything we've been through the last months. I only brought her pain Zayn. I only hurt her." "Because she loves you. And do you even hear what  you're saying? After everything you two went through, this is just another obstacle you'll have to conquer. You guys broke up before and found your way back to eachother. When two people are meant to be together, they will eventually find their way back into eachother's arms. No matter what." I looked at him. "That was deep man." He chuckled before tossing me some clothes. "Get dressed. You got to apologize to some people downstairs and we have to get your girlfriend back." I nodded and he walked out. I'm going to get her back. And Ansel won't stand a chance.
